Craft?

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

I noticed a couple of skills have a craft check to acquire. None of the 11 characters seem to have that skill. Is it something planned for future characters, or is there some other way to obtain the craft skill?

Correct, no one has it yet, so probably there for a future PC or Ally.

We might get allies or items that help with craft in future add-ons.

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game Designer

Probably so.

Mike doesn't want to give away all the great things that are coming in future sets. Personally, I like having the actual game designer come on here and help clarify things, even if some of his answers are brief.

Don't get me wrong. I am glad he is here and answering questions and not revealing too much. Just noticed a big difference between the way Vic & Mike reply, Vic is more likely to explain the intent of the rule, the reason for that intent and so in that provides greater in site for a fantastic game that many of us even those who played the beta still working out the kinks.

Insite can help with interpretation. (Coming from a person that write commentary in volumes to help people interpret very generalized building code legislation).

Can't believe I spelled "insight" wrong twice! I hate posting from my smartphone!

I can't find the link right now, but I believe Mike said he would try to refrain from posting much regarding rules interpretations since a lot of the rules changed so many times and he wanted to avoid accidentally giving a ruling based on a pre-release version of the game.

In the same post, Mike said that if he and Vic both posted on a rules issue, Vic's ruling would override Mike's.

(Can someone find the link for that, or am I just going crazy?)

Yea, also Vic may explain a lot but typically differs to Mike. When Mike give an explanation it is typically followed with a comment that they need to go over that and probably will finalize the ruling in the FAQ.

Ultimately it makes more sense for Mike to gather the information now and finalize it all in an FAQ, then throw around answers on here and BBG and then the answers get lost or changed when the FAQ actually comes out.

That is pretty much it. I have a team that discusses rules changes and then we propose what we want to Vic, then he figures out whether it should be crafted differently and posts something. I hope we can get some official clarifications in a single place this week.

Also, Vic doesn't post on BGG, so I try my best over there when things get confusing. But nothing I say over there is official.

Okay. Sounds like you guys got a good system going then. I will wait patiently for the final draft.

Love the game by the way.
