Super-Enhanced Kingmaker Campaign GO!

Kingmaker

Last Sunday I finally ran the first session of a Kingmaker game I've been trying to organize for many months. Using the six-player enhancement, all available Legendary Games Kingmaker plugins, and probably going to throw in tons of community-created extras, so thank you to everyone. :)

Our heroes:

Adeleke, human teleportation-specialist wizard and future Magaambyan Arcanist who's traveled all the way from Garund for reasons yet unknown.

Alyosha Ublyudok, half-orc ranger, bastard nephew of the last king of Brevoy and only known survivor of the Rogarvias, who was passed over by (first) whatever took the rest of them and (second) the nobility who refused to countenance an out-of-wedlock halfbreed heir.

Avrelis Orlovsky, human bladebound magus, kicked out of the family estate after he somehow "liberated" a sword of mysterious provenance from a secret vault that he could not possibly have known about, let alone gotten into. The sword's blade is etched with what might be strange runic inscriptions, or possibly the occult pattern that Numerians call "printed circuitry." Her name is Lily, and she whispers to him.

Erebar Lodovka, half-elf cleric of Nethys.

Kendal Hunt, human cavalier of the Order of the Cockatrice who is absolutely not a former bandit and is shocked, sir, shocked at your insinuations. Rides a camel. Has no idea that it isn't an ugly horse.

Keth Warren, human, former street kid taken in by the Church of Abadar, now a dedicated inquisitor of the God of Cities.

Thanks to very good tactical planning, the use of tactician-spread Stealth Synergy, and very bad rolls on the part of the villains, Happs Bydon's entire party went down to one well-placed color spray. Now they're off to the Thorn River camp and with any luck some combats that will last more than one round... ^.^

Hope your cavalier likes to not have his mount for most of the dungeons. Thankfully that's only once or twice a book.

This is the first I've heard of Legendary Games' Kingmaker plug-ins, I'll have to go looking for those!
I have a thread recently looking for the best community created posts, http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2q2t9?Starting-KM-best-community-creations . I was looking mostly for freebies, but I could stand to toss a few bucks into some plug-ins if they fill some gaps.

EDIT: I also have a Cavalier in my group, plus a baby-roc riding druid. I imagine there'll be enough outdoors encounters in Kingmaker that they'll definitely feel they've gotten their money's worth.

EDIT EDIT: Wait, how would a plug-in like Legendary Games stuff work, exp-wise? If I use all of them, would they not be overleveled for the final chapter? I mean, it's easy enough to scale the enemies up a few CR, but will I have to? (And sorry for asking questions in someone else's post)

So far they have only one actual adventure out (Cold Mountain) with another one coming next week-ish (Horns of the Hunted); the rest are bestiaries and fey-related character options. The point of the adventures is to inject the endgame plot quite a bit earlier. Find 'em all here (scroll down a bit).

Currently, I'm assuming that I'll either lower the random encounter rate or maybe add some mythic power or other power-up to the endgame.

We have to call our products "Kingdom-Building Adventure Path Plug-Ins," since we can't use the official name of the AP, but I think you can figure out what that one is. Thus far we have one adventure (the second one is due to be done with layout this weekend, and probably available for sale sometime next week once it's finalized), two monster products, one product of hyper-detailed pregenerated characters, and a product detailing the interactions between fey and mortals, including both roleplay and mechanical advice for the GM as well as new sorcerer bloodlines and druid and ranger archetypes.

We also have a product detailing tournaments and festivals in the hopper, whenever I have time to actually finish it, as well as a follow-up product with further details and mechanics about fey impulses and how they can warp the natural world.

Check 'em out! They're great, but if you don't want to take my word for it you can find reviews for all of these products here on Paizo.com.

And, of course, we can't forget Ultimate Rulership and its sequels :)

Fair enough. Those are officially part of the "Ultimate Plug-Ins" product line, as they are supplements I created for the kingdom-building and mass combat rules I wrote in Chapter 4 of the Pathfinder RPG Ultimate Campaign hardcover, rather than the original rules that were published with the Kingmaker AP.

Back to work on Ultimate War as we speak!

Wow! That's awesome! Picking up Cold Mountain right now, and gonna grab the other once it drops. Will talk to my party about U. Rulership, see if I can't get the group to pitch in.

Narrow Frame feat and Hostelling Armor Quality can help with mounts in dungeons.

Yes, Yes, and another Yes for the tournament and festivals product, please! Can I assume this will include and supersede the tournaments that were left out of the original AP?

With the Thorn River bandits down, the group headed south in search of the mites who'd stolen Svetlana's ring. Despite my best efforts to suggest that maybe they should take a break, they're now deep under the Old Sycamore and on a cliffhanger facing off with the Giant Whiptail.

...The six-player version does a minimum of 11 HP biting. There's only one PC who might not be one-shotted by that...

You assume correctly!

Yea.....the whiptail killed our Inquisitor. And then the Tick killed the gnome. It was a sad day for our future rulers. A handy tip for cavaliers playing in Dungeons. Check out Hosteling Armor.
