Arodus, 4713
Warrior of Light,
The Runelord of Sloth is no more, and in time all of Varisia shall know that it was a force of justice and light that vanquished the slumbering evil. The Pathfinder Society must certainly appreciate the prestige, and in time they will no doubt learn to embrace the cause of Good.
However, while one part of the world can sleep easy, another is under assault. For nearly a century and over four crusades, the crusaders of Mendev have held the Worldwound’s demons at bay at great cost. Every day for the past week I have felt a terrible throbbing to the north as if some sinister malignance were preparing to burst from the Worldwound, and I have done what I can to hasten the Pathfinder Society’s preparations for its expedition into that abyssal landscape. Having hundreds of agents in Nerosyan will bolster the crusaders’ numbers in case trouble should befall the Diamond of the North, and we shall be ready to lead our comrades against what may be the greatest evil ever to blight Avistan.
More than just the Sky Citadel is at stake, however. Should Mendev fall, all that we hold dear would die with it. Strike down the demons that threaten our future, and be the shining paragon that motivates others to stand strong and hold the line. They shall look to you and follow your example, so remember that your actions shall influence how others view the Silver Crusade; should you find yourself presented with a difficult choice, always choose that which will create a shining legacy to inspire others.
We march north with the first light,
Ollysta Zadrian

I stand ready to face the wrath of demon horde. We shall not cede another inch of rock to these foul beasts. The members of the Shining Crusade shall drive them back to the abyss.
I shall be a shining beacon in which others will be able to see the way forward to victory. I shall live by the example you have set Ollysta and strive to give my very best.

"My career in the Pathfinders so far has been training for what is to come. My blades are sharp, and my mind focused, and Iomedae willing we shall beat back the demon hordes. I'll need help on identifying the critical places to strike the enemy, however strike I shall, and they will know that they have been in Battle!"

The beaming smile on the halfing's face slips away when he hears the Dawnflower's servant mention the Worldwound. His eyes widen and he swallows hard, before he catches his breath and his lips slowly curl back into a wry smirk.
What is the best way to get rid of a demon?
Exorcise a lot!
Standing up as high as his small frame allows.
I will call forth whatever enchantments I can to assist in this noble effort!
His face wrinkles in concentration, thinking I bet those fiends don't have a decent sense of humor...

There's a wry grin from the Chelaxian expatriate.
"Some think I have no sense of humor as well, small one, but there can be a laugh in many parts of life. But, I shall be honored to stand in front of you, and keep back the hordes if you are going to make it possible to send the fiends back into the Abyss. Just, well, don't expect me to laugh until the smiting is done. Well, not to jokes, anyways."
The feral grin on the paladin's face may put a shiver in a demon's back...

Why do I feel like I'm surrounded by homicidal maniacs?
Don't get me wrong; as a cleric of the Inheritor, I don't hesitate to strike down evil creatures without mercy. I even feel good about it... but it comes from a sense of satisfaction in knowning that those too weak to protect themselves are now safer than they were before. Some of you... well, for some of you it seems like you just have an insatiable bloodlust and have directed it against the hordes of the Worldwound only because doing so won't get you arrested, leaving you free to continue your violent rampages without legal repercussions. Are you fighting to protect the innocent, or to indulge depraved cravings in a socially-accepted manner? Check your motives, agents of light.

The tengu with bandaged talons salutes. "I'll do my best!" she says excitedly. "I promise, I'll do my utmost to tend to the wounds and sickness of those in need and will make sure my fellow pathfinders come back alive. Why, just yesterday, I brought a guy back to life! At first I was freaking out, but then I brought him back, and he was like 'sweet' and I was like 'cool' and the party was like 'nice' and the bad guys were like 'aww...'!"
She thinks for a second, as if trying to recall something. "Oh yeah!" She draws a piece of paper out of her pocket and begins to read. "My younger bro also told me to tell you all that he'll 'do his best to keep anyone from being ripped in half by any demons.' He also adds 'try not to get yourself killed being an overzealous nutjob, alright? I'm serious, know your limit. Also, don't mind the fast zombies.'" She shrugs. "That's what he said!"

"I suppose you could call me a demonicidal maniac, but killing people? That's not something I ever want to do. Don't get me wrong, I will, if it is necessary to protect innocent and good people. Demons, though, really? In what way is leaving a demon alive and around good for anyone? The only thing I have ever heard is the lament that they have been around and hurt others.
"I do happen to be a warrior, and this is the skill I have. I have been training to fight demons longer than I have been a pathfinder, and now the Society is seeing fit to deal with the problems at the WorldWound. Don't mind me if I seem a little excited about fulfilling my purpose the Goddess has for me."

As always madam I am hear to safe guard the gates of oblivion. I can see the time is still not yet upon us and again those too eager to bring about this worlds destruction have jumped the gun. I am hear to help seal this gate like I have the last. I have heard reports from an associate that we have even managed to hold the Diamond city from a heavy assault. With any luck my people will be heading that way within the coming months along with our newest convert from the Lantern Lodge Hokumatsu, The Thunder of the East.
As he finishes Akram seems to lose focus for a moment his eyes wandering off as if focusing on another conversation going on somewhere near by.

What did I say that could even remotely be interpreted as wanting to give demons a chance to go free? That's not what I'm saying at all. I'm just noticing that when a demon goes down, I'm breathing a sigh of relief at the knowledge that those around me are now safe, while others are drooling hungrily at the blood dripping across their knuckles from their blades. The point of killing a demon is to remove evil and protect the innocent, not to get a thrill from the feel of warm blood splattered across our faces. That's the vibe I'm getting from some of these "crusaders", and it makes my stomach turn.

"Hey, hey, we all want to do good, right? We shouldn't fight amongst ourselves!"
She sighs. "All I hope is that you guys be careful and not get too caught up in fighting. Besides, there'll be much more to do than fight monsters! We'll probably have to provide a lot of aid to the area...do we have a fund for that?"

An ally I have shared many missions with recently declared much the same sentiment. She finds greater purpose in healing those afflicted with maladies and bolstering communities suffering from demonic influence than confronting the otherworldly beings of the planes in a bloodletting confrontation. If you shall permit me, I will share with you the same principles I have availed to her.
The beings of the planes are a near endless supply of entities. The majority of those slain on our plane of existence merely reform a time later in their native realm. While we must each confront these evils in the manner we are most suited too as individuals, never forget that the threat of a rampaging hezrou pales in comparison to one of us falling to their corrupting advances. In the grand scale, while they may be near endless in number, most of us are not.
Combat and slay the fiends when circumstances make it intelligent or necessary to do so, but do not forget to steel your own soul and those of your community from embracing their hatred. In time, such a path will lead to their victory.
I have been blessed with the luxury of arcane understanding sufficient to replicate myself through clones and simulacrums, which allow these shells to perform my combat functions for me as necessary. This in turn allows me to focus my greater attentions upon attending to the well-being of my allies and those who have no choice but to interpose themselves on the front line, as well as researching methods to potentially sever their connection to our material plane. Know that The Crusade stands not alone against this tide. Should your cause have need of the services of an archmage, know that you may call upon me for such boons.
"Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster... for when you gaze long into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you."

Aye let 'em look then. They'll find naught but the blaze of Torag's Forge and the sight of it 'ill burn their damned eyes. Mercy and comfort for those poor souls who dwell in the shadow of the Demons, and retribution for those who serve the abyss willingly. My hammer and shield stand ready. I will walk in the Dark places none will enter. I will stand on the brink. I have lived to protect those who can not protect themselves and need be I'll die for them. In Torag's Name.

By blade and shield, I will stand against the darkness to protect the innocent of this world. For what use is stregnth if it is not to protect what you care about? When the evil is gone from this world and we all live under the light in peace and prosperity I will lay down by sword. Until then if you want to do me and mine harm come try.

I've purchased a scimitar of cold iron, and in the name of Sarenrae, I am ready to send these demons back to the pits that spawned them. I have had some measure of success in saving slaves from infernal cults and the too-intelligent undead, and will continue helping the meekest of the weak as I support our Pathfinder brethren against the forces of darkness.
Karnak, Cleric of Sarenrae

Tomorrow I will make my first journey into the Worldwound. I am a new recuit in the mighty ranks of the Silver Crusade but I know the gods are smiling upon me, guiding my weapon, and protecting my soul. I shall destroy those demons that dare to trespass upon Golarion. In the name of Shelyn, I will be victorious.

Not just the crusaders have fought the expanding scars upon the land... my people fight daily against the ravages of the outer world. I pledge my sword and hammer for the coming days ahead. In the iron lords name, let the ringing of iron cleanse not just my peoples home but all.
and since you guys and gals don't drink much, i volunteer to consume your shares... if you like.

Sen Kreela stands with her brothers and sisters of the Silver Crusade in our irresistible battle against the forces of darkness.
Let not the rumors of destruction dissuade you from our noble purpose.
Let not this talk of dissolution cast fear into your hearts.
Through unity and steadfastness in the face of overwhelming hate we can save the people of Golarion from a terrible fate. No other faction has the wisdom or vision to succeed in this.
But we do.

I have spent nearly two centuries walking in disarray having been told the tragedy of the disappearance of Aroden my patron. His disappearance has something to do with the appearance of the Worldwound. I hope that by helping to protect the innocents whom are oppressed by this demonic infestation, and turn the tide of foulness that is spewing forth from that dismal place will somehow, enlighten us or bring back our fallen god Aroden. Otherwise I just wish to use my born power to beat back those demons, to make up for the naivety of my younger self who was seduced by a demon those long years ago.
The 6'5" Aasimar with polished steel hands bows and steps back, showing the shimmering halo crowned aloft his glowing blue skin.
