Since it sounds like GM signoffs on Inventory Tracking Sheets won't be necessary, what we need is a format for the sheet that's easy to keep up, and easy to show to GMs.

Here is what I'll be using:

Google Docs Inventory Tracking Sheet

To use it, make a copy, and name it appropriately for your character. Here's an example for my second-level wizard:

Sarallindia's ITS

You will notice that I'm more anal here than we have to be; I've tracked all purchases, not just the ones over 25gp as it sounds like the rules will be. I've also used chronicle # zero for my initial on-creation purchases. And you'll notice that I have a wand purchased with PP on the list-- which really one ought to have. I just put (2 PP) instead of a gp value in the value column. Since one isn't allowed to sell items purchased with PP, there's no need really to know the gp value, as long as you did it right when you purchased it with PP.

If you need more lines, just click the "Add" button at the bottom of the spreadsheet. The new rows will have the same formatting as the current rows at the bottom of the sheet.

I've integrated the wands section with all of the rest. The columns for # of items or charges (blue) and # used (red) are where you keep track of charges on wands. If you look at my example, I'm also using it for things like rations and arrows that I buy in bunches.

I've decided for myself to put a line through items that are expended; you can see that on the example sheet.

If you want to show it to your GM, select "Share..." from the File Menu, and make sure that the public view is set to "Anybody who has the link can view". Then, just copy the URL of the link and send that to your GM, and the GM can view (but not edit) your ITS, just in case you get the rare GM who actually wants to do the audit. This makes this extremely easy to use for online play.

If you need to play in a Face to Face game, you can print out the Google to a PDF file and then print that however you print PDF files.

Thanks for the sample! I have something similar (but a little more in-depth) that I've been using, but will need updating. I like some of the ideas you incorporated!

Thanks! I will be using this for my upcoming sessions. It looks a lot easier for virtual play compared to tracking on chronicles.

I've actually added a couple of columns (that you can ignore and leave blank if you like, since the official sheet doesn't have it).

The first is a reference to the chronicle # that lists the item. If you purchase an item listed on a previous chronicle sheet you can put that number here.

The second is a page reference for where the item is described. This is for convenience, so you can more quickly look up an item. Leave it blank if it's too obvious. (F'rinstance, I was anal and put in the page reference for my 50' silk rope, but really, you probably don't need to do that.)

I've also put in notes in a couple of columns. Hover your mouse over any header cell that has a triangle in the upper-right corner, and you'll get popup notes.
