Another Ray of Frost
mumbles This feels like someone's else job.
Any light in the hallway?
"Huh? What's troubling the Gazebo? ... Fire? Hey, sir dwarf, wakeup time!"
I nudge James to wake him up, and get my backpack and Gracklstew.
Open the door and quench my individual fire. "ALISSA!!!"
Am S: your ray of frost puts the fire out. There is no one in the hall.
Jenny: There is no smoke coming under your door.
Nesod: You put the fire out. When you look back to see what is keeping Alissa, neither she nor the bear are there. The window is open.
Heads to the first floor to locate the others
OOC: Herading out to job orientation today. I'll try and post after lunch. Then again this evening.
"What's the fuss about"
*Gets up and grabs stuff, readies lute*
Runs out into the alleyway to see who is giggling out there and try to capture them.
I also run out into the alleyway. Something bad happened, right? Gazebo was ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRing.
*Sees Jenny Run*
"Do ya want some fries with that shake"
*Follows laughing to himself*
Once outside he listens for the foot falls and giggling.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Nasty and Gaz: You run outside and see a small giggling child zip around the corner.
Am S, Jenny and James: You run downstears and see the people in the common room milling about. There is no smoke down here. All the smoke seems to be confined to the second floor and whatever drifted up to the third.
WHAT AM I DREAMING ABOUT? I USUALLY DREAM ABOUT SLAUGHTERING VILLAGERS. IS IT HOT IN MY DREAM BECAUSE MY BED IS ON FIRE?
Nasty Orc runs after the fleeing child.
"Came back here little child we want to talk to you. Don't run away Gazebo and I just want to ask you some questions."
Intimidate: 1d20 + 12 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 12 + 3 = 24 he gets a bonus versus little giggling children. He though he wants to be diplomatic all children naturally fear him and automatically acts as intimidate instead of diplomacy.
(OOG: I know this will go well.)
*I know if "that" was running after me i'd stop, he looks friendly*
To the alleyway for me!!!
Am H: you are dreaming about a field of lilies blowing in a gentle breeze.
Nasty: You get to the alley, and see Neson drop from a window on the second floor.
James: You get out to the street, but see no one.
*listen for commotion*
perception1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
*nudges AMST*
"thanks for the dice, they are hot"
James: You hear something being knocked over in the alley.
Nesod: You do not see Alissa.
Blast. Where did everybody go?
He says this to no one in particular
*Head toward the alley, draw my lute*
James: Looking down the alley, you see Nasty knocking things over. He looks like he is trying to find something.
Am S: You see Jenny talking to some of the people in the common room. She looks like she is questioning them.
"So, anyone know what happened?"
Jenny: Everyone gives you the same answer. The were sleeping somewhat comfortably when a roar from the Gazeebo woke them up. The only smoke they smelled came from the fireplace in the room.
"Come out little giggly child me wants to talk with you."
After he turned the corner does he see anything else?
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
"Where did Miss Pouty Lips go?"
Looks at Jenny
Someone tried burning me out of my bedroom, either that or it was a bad idea of a joke.
*Head toward nasty*
"What in the nine hells is going on"
Just as James reaches him, Nasty knocks over a crate. Behind that crate are two urchins.
"Sorr' guv'ner. 'Twas on'y a Sain' Swizzal prank. Did'n mean nut'n. Jus' a bag uv poo lit on fire."
He takes each by the scruff and begins to carry them back to the inn.
"Gazebo asked me to find these ones. Bring them back to him. Where is pouty lipped woman? Our leader?"
I'm going over to Nasty. "Who're the kids." To kids: What are your names?"
"They started the fire. Gazebo told me to bring them back to him."
He tells each kid. "Tell Nesod your names ... now."
*Head back inside seek out Alissa and the bear*
Urchin: "Tommy and Tommi Guv'ner."
Nasty Orc continues on his mission to bring back the giggly children to Gazebo.
"Me get them Gazebo whatcha want to do with them now?"
AM I STILL ASLEEP? THIS SUCKS.
Am H: You are awake. It is impossible to sleep through all the noise of the various guest screaming that they are going to die in the fire.
Nasty and Gaz. The moment you start to loom over the children, several women in the crowd start chiding you about being mean to children. They raise such a row that even the men in the audience start to get upset with you.
BTW, only Nesod knows Alissa is missing at this point.
*ok then I head in and move over by gazebo*
Everyone listening to the urchins roll me a sense motive check.
sense motive1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
sense motive: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Sorry I am late. One of my fellow doctors kicked the bucket... uh, passed away, and we were partying... uh holding a memorial service in one of the ORs... uh, in the chapel.
Looks like the lich of Lichburg is paying us a visit.
Jenny, Gaz and the lich: The urchins are scared about all the fuss, but you detect no lie in anything they say.
I SHOW UP AND ASK WHO I AM SUPPOSED TO KILL.
"As the patch of green slime makes more of itself when flesh is consumed, so too must we act. We must raise our gazes beyond these petty concerns and seek the first mover."
