Tvashtri catches up in time to see the metal potion bottles.

"Oh my! Can you believe how infrequently one finds these things? One wonders...."

Appraise: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
untrained Craft (Metalworker): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

How long has it been since we fought the sharks? What about since the battle with the Boordooran cannibals?

Anyone know what these are?

"Potions and scrolls?"

Thank you Mr. Obvious.

The sharks were about 10 minutes ago and the cannibals...I guess about 3 days

The scroll is Levitate and 2 of the potions are CLW. One has gone bad and will give you an upset stomach

So, cure you for 1d8+1 and sicken you for 1d4+1 hours.

Sovereign Court

No it won't cure you at all just gift you with bad gas

Gimme!

Isn't having acid touch enough? Now you want poison breath!

Bad gas is in the eye of the beholder?

Quiet. You are not allowed to say things like that. Do you want another watzi lawyer invasion?

That would be a great way to fight a beholder. They would never expect it.

Or a giant lemon

Mommy wants a breath weapon... :-)

"When you were a kid did you happen to do the same thing to ants?"

I had a pet ant when I was a kid. I used to ride it everywhere.

Scarab Sages

"And ruin perfectly good natural power for my ant-clock? Ants are Hell's agents on this world...believe me, I can sense it when they look at me...but they can nonetheless be twisted to kind, creative, and unorthodox uses - after all, that is how one defeats Hell!"

The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant?

I heard the same thing exactly, from the ants who marched the flaming plains."

"Hmm sorry I think I ate something that did not agree with me. Did anyone miss me?"

Scarab Sages

"Wha-oh, yes, certainly! Always good to have you around, good Mr. Orc!"

Tvashtri greets Nasty politely with his eyes and his hands in an open "Saloom" gesture, while his tail busily probes and manages the contents of his backpack to make sure the various new boxes and bags of sweets and exotic regional fare he'd picked up in the friendly village are *well* out of view.

"Oh I just thought you were cleaning out all the edibles from each and every hole....you didn't throw up anywhere did you?"

"Throw up ... why would I do that? I never let anything out of my mouth once it is in there."

" I was just sleeping."

I believe Gurg put it best. "FOOD STAYS FOOD!!!"

"This reminds me of the Five kender Brothers and they all looked exactly alike. They lived with their mother in a little house not far from the sea. Their mother had wished for her sons to be capable of magical things, so each brother has a special ability."

"The first brother is able to hold all the water of the sea in his mouth. One day he sucks up the sea so he can pick up fish off the bottom. A boy comes out into the empty sea and starts making faces at the first brother, who can't hold the sea for long and tries to warn the boy before he lets it spill out. But the boy gets caught up in the water and drowns.

The townsfolk arrest the first brother for the murder of the little boy and sentence him to death. The judge decides that in the morning, they will cut the first brother's head off.

Before the execution, the second brother sneaks in and takes his brothers place. The second brother's neck is as strong as iron and cannot be cut, so when the executioner tries to cut off his head, the sword bounces off.

The judge decides that they will take the brother out into the sea and drown him. Before that can happen, the third brother replaces the second. The third brother has legs that can stretch as long as he needs. In the morning, when they try to drown him, he stretches his legs and stands in the middle of the ocean.

The judge decides to burn the brother, but without anyone noticing, the fourth brother replaces the third. The fourth brother cannot be burned. When they put him in the fire, he doesn't burn. They decide to suffocate him.

The fifth brother, who can hold his breath all day and all night, replaces the fourth brother that night. The next day they try to suffocate the brother, but he doesn't die.

In the end, after trying to kill, who they think is one kender, 4 times, the judge decides this means he cannot be guilty of the crime and frees the kender. And the brothers live happily ever after.

Sorry, I zoned out during that story. Was anyone bludgeoned?

"Sorry no bludgeoning, I will do better next time."

*Yawwn*

Is okay story, but so boring without death and mayhem.

Wake up! WAKE UP! WAKE UP!

As you probe around the tunnels, you discover the rats lair. Inside are rags, some bones, a gnawed scroll and three metal potion bottles. You also discover an exit to a dry hall running 70' north and 40' south

You can also head up the hall filled with water that terminates at a door

Alright let's go that way!

Trap goes through the flooded hallway his boots of splishing and splashing making the task easier....

As a kender he doesn't intentionally look for traps he just notices them...
Perception
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15

Sovereign Court

As a Kender, you do not notice any traps. This door opens into a 15' x 15' room with a door on the north side. The water in here is five feet deep

*glub

5 feet deep? Everyone grab a halfling and stand on them so you don't drown. No time for hesitation - they're already good as dead anyway.

"Fine but adjust your helmet because I will be jumping up for air, and your head is going to hit the ceiling....bashy style."

Sovereign Court

Hmmm...It appears as if our heroes are at a crossroads, Will our intrepid adventurers go forward to the door on the north wall or come up with some other cockamaney plan?

Does the door look organic?

Sovereign Court

The door looks to be made of wood so yeah it's organic

*Comes up for air.*
Gasp. Someone open the door already.

I was getting hungry, so, I start to dissolve the door by laying against it and partially changing to slime.

Sovereign Court

Jenny as you slide across the room you encounter a wire cleverly placed under the murky water(If only you had taken murksight).

Above the north door a spray of fine oil covers the room, it bursts into flame upon contact with the water doing 3 pts of damage/rd. In addition the door behind you slams shut as the room begins filling with smoke making it hard to breathe

*Dives under the water. Starts walking on the floor toward the door.*
Perception: 1d20 + 12 - 5 ⇒ (16) + 12 - 5 = 23

"Things are looking bleak and murky."

Would that be blurky?

Sovereign Court

Will the door open: 1d6 ⇒ 6...Nope, but since you are underwater you will not burn or choke on smoke

Search the door for traps...Perception
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22

Disable device trap or lock....
1d20 + 15 ⇒ (11) + 15 = 26

Sovereign Court

TD: There are no traps, it is just hard to open. At least your not burning

1d6 ⇒ 1...success

As the door is opened, the flaming water begins rushing out of the room sweeping everyone into a lowered portcullis causing 1d4 ⇒ 3 pts of damage. There is a lever on the eastern wall

Water isn't supposed to burn. This dungeon is drunk.

Tvashtri begins going into fine detail on the many methods by which water could indeed be made to burn.

"And thus some times is why you piss fire."
