What does it mean to 'wield' a weapon?

Outside of the pre-errata Defensive weapon wording, it never was unclear what wielding meant to me, or members of my gaming groups.

So, with the fixed enchantment wording, I don't see a problem.

Thought I'd drop this thread here.

It raises some interesting questions contingent upon the meaning of the word "wield".

It raises an interesting question about uses a bow, but also having a cestus equipped and if you can benefit from the special ability riders attached to the cestus while using the bow. The pro argument is mostly the special abilities in question use the word wield, and since you could remove you hand as a free action at the end of your turn you are wielding the cestus.

Personally I think this is a b%!&$$&+ excuse to double dip and get bonus that shouldn't be available. Take a look at it and provide some insight if you feel so inclined.
