Grand Lodge 5/5 Regional Venture-Coordinator, Great Lakes aka TwilightKnight

It may be a bit early to begin advertising for this regional convention, but since they are open for registration and event submissions, I wanted to at least get a place-holder up and running.

FlatCon is a regional gaming convention with board games, RPG, miniatures, TCG, etc. It will be 25-27 October this year. Individual events are free! We intend to use Warhorn again for signup/pre-registration and mustering. I am currently working on the PFS schedule and willing to consider any special requests. Feel free to PM or email me @ pfs.illinois@gmail.com and I'll see ya there!

An excerpt from their website...
"Three Days of Dice-Rollin', Mini-Bashin', Nacho-Eatin', Friend-Fraggin', Gaming Fun!...the dice will be rollin' and the nacho cheese will be flowin' at the Interstate Center Mini Expo building Interstate Center in Bloomington, Illinois."

5/5

Had a great time last year, so bought my badge and now to wait for it to actually get here ;)

Scarab Sages

Count Amanda and I in for this one. So close to Halloween we should have some Haunted themed scenarios or maybe even if the Carrion Crown adventure paths are PFS official by then we could run a book or two of those!

See you there.

Sheesh, it looks like I'll just be some three-star schmuck in this crowd. ;)

I'll be happy to GM, always enjoy doing unofficial series like (Day of the Demon) -> Blackros Matrimony -> Disappeared -> Fortress of the Nail -> Hellknight's Feast.

Sovereign Court

If all goes according to plan I'll be there and earn my 4th star.

Okay, our schedule has been submitted to the convention for approval and posting to their website. Since they do not support pre-registration, it's just a formality. If you want to sign-up to play or GM, please visit our Warhorn site and register. There will also be onsite signups, but pre-registered players will receive priority seating.

Any updates?

Not sure on what you are looking for, but have the site bookmarked and has been same for awhile.

Maybe the Warhorn link? https://warhorn.net/events/flatcon-pfs

Edit: I realize now that Bob linked it. The link style on comments just doesn't jump out as being a link. ;)

Grand Lodge

Less than two weeks until FlatCon! We have made some minor adjustments to the schedule to accommodate player registrations, including adding two offerings of Day of the Demon. If you have not had the chance to play this year's exclusive scenario, here's your chance.

FlatCon (warhorn site for PFS signups)
FlatCon (official website)

Grand Lodge

Only four days remaining so sign up before everything is filled. Hope to see you there!

Wish I was back there and could play. Looks like a nice turnout. Phoenix is finally cooling down. PFS out here is pretty good. Getting to slowly met the players.

You know, we are alot closer than Africa was :)

I am planning to come for just Saturday, but I noticed on the site that they say the ticket booth doesn't open until 9am, the same time the mornings games are suppose to start! Is it a small enough con that I can buy my ticket in the morning and still make it to my table? I'm signed up to play the Glories of the Past trilogy.

It shouldn't be an issue if it was like last year. If you can't get the badge right before the slot, you can probably nip out during the intro/setup time I'm sure. I had someone do this at a table I was at last year.

Thanks to all the players and GM's that came out to Flatcon. I had a great time :) Looking forward to this next year.

Liberty's Edge

Thanks BoB, great job.

Many thanks to all the players and GMs that made FlatCon another great success. Despite the overall convention attendance being significantly down this year, PFS virtually maintained our participation compared to last year. Growth would have been nice, but I'll take it :-)

We entered a few items into the auction and generated $131 dollars which was donated to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life program. I am very proud of our players for their contributions.

Had a great time again Bob. This con has a different feel than a lot of the other cons I go to for me. It's usually much more laid back, and I do enjoy that.

See you next year I'm sure!
