Benefits / Drawbacks of each Base class for Harrower

I'm thinking of playing a character going for Harrower.Was thinking of maybe taking that feat to throw cards too, perhaps.

What kinds of suggestions do you have for classes I could take as my standard class before going into the prestige class?

Sorcerer benefits quite a bit from the harrower's metamagic ability, since using the cards isn't a full round action.

We have a rakshasa blooded sorcerer in our CotCT campaign whose gone this route.
