Max out Cha on a Melee character

Advice

Hi guys,

I planning on playing a high Cha, low Dex melee character.

My stats (25 PB)
16 Str
7 Dex
14 Con
12 Int
12 Wis
16 Cha

Race: Aasimar with +2 Str and +2 Cha and scion of humanity

1. Paladin (or Antipaladin if we decide to go evil)
2. Paladin
3. Oracle (lore with sidestep revalation)

Feats: Scion of war and PA

What should I do next? stay on Paladin (Antipaladin)? Any other class?
Cournogon Smash and Intmidating prowess?

All paizo products allowed

thx

That Oracle Revelation gives CHA instead of DEX to armor class and reflex saves.

Well, the sidestep secret allows him to add his cha instead of dex to AC and reflex...
The feat "Noble Scion (scion of war)" from Inner Sea World Guide allows him to add cha to initiative. (needs to be taken at level 1)

I guess all that you would need dex for is covered.

Worship Arshea, become a Mystery Cultist, get your Cha bonus as an armor bonus while you dance around naked at level 13.

You're pretty set up for Eldritch Heritage should you so desire. Orc or Abyssal would be pretty good, if you can come up with a flavor reason behind it. +6 to STR is nothing to sneeze at for sure. Arcane if you want a familiar. Not sure I'd dip any more classes, I can understand the Paladin dip for the Cha to saves, but you're going to water down your spell progression more if you do. If you decide to go the Intimidate route, a one level dip into Rogue - Thug archetype lets you trade off 4 rounds of shaken for a round of frightened. Kinda useful if you have Dazzling Display. Lots of ways you can go with this character for sure.

Ive been toying with a character similar to this one. I went Efriti race with a level of Arcane Sorcerer on top of what you are doing except i grabbed Imp Init instead of PA. The character's Init is insane since i got the Greensting Scorpion from Sorcerer (+4), Imp Init (+4), Efriti alternative racial trait (+4), Reactionary trait (+2), and Noble Scion (+cha). Not sure how good the character would be but its saves, ac, and init will be great and it will have some buff/utility level one and zero spells thanks to Sorcerer.

Are you looking to power build? Two choices:

Paladin x (oath of vengence) / Oracle of Nature 1
Str: 18 (20 after belt)
Int: 10
Wis: 12
Dex: 7
Con: 12
Chr: 18 (19 after level-up, 21 after that)

This would get you smiting 6 times daily; and cha would be AC and such. Would make you a front-line fighter. Pick up a Luceren Hammer and go to town.

or just

Aasmir Oracle of Nature X
Lower Str by 2, Increase Con by 2 above

Use favored class every level to increase your animal companion by half a leve. Level 8 you'd have a 12th level animal companion eating everything it sight. You'd probably be primarily a buffer / support.

Finally, you can take the first stats and go Paladin (Vengence) 5 / Oracle of nature X. Since Paladin also gets an animal companion once you get to 5, you'd get your full level + half again your oracle level in your animal companion; and you'd have smite "online". Would make a powerful spirited charge build; you can take skill focus (ride) to overcome the lack of dex.

On a Paladin I'd swap dex and wis. You have a good will save and charisma to will saves so you'd wind up with a respectable +4 save at level 2 and you don't face many will saves before then. On the other hand reflex is your weakest save and 12 dex is what will fit nicely under plate when you can afford it.

Well if you're talking to the OP, they are going with Lore Oracle with the sidestep secret revelation. That swaps DEX and CHA for AC and Reflex saves. The only things that still suffer are your CMD and ranged attack rolls.

RPG Superstar Season 9 Top 16

I'd take Fey Foundling over Scion of War as a Paladin.

Thanks for the advice

Is there any possibility that a shaken enemy loses his dex bonus to ac?

I think, if we go evil I will go on as Barbarian. The oracle curse will be lame so I can ragecycle.

Otherwise oath of vengeance and staying paladin would be the best.

Do think the cruel weapon enhancement would be recommended?

Eldritch heritage is a nice route, but it is very feat intensive, I don't think I can afford it.
