Nickel
NG Tengu Zen Archer Monk 9/Menhir Savant Druid 2

Originally a worshiper of Irori, Nickel has since turned away from his pursuit of self perfection when his dreams became wracked by nightmares of the unimaginable horrors of the Dark Tapesty after encountering an other-worldy artifact. He has shied away from honing his bow to learn about these creatures and as a side effect of restless days filled with old tomes of ancient magics and restless nights filled with terrifying dreams, Nickel has developed both an obsession with these beings and a paranoia that they are constantly stalking him.

It occurred at some point to nickel that his black wings may be off-putting to some folk and in an attempt to be more likeable has painted his feathers various colors. This has proven to be ineffective(low Cha).

Hmmm, let's try out my first character:

Ya'akov Moriancumer. Level 20, NG Summoner by the end of his fifth campaign.
STR: 14
DEX: 17
CON: 14
INT: 20
WIS: 16
CHA: 26
With magic items, add +4 to all of those stats, except CON.

Started out as an Aasimar with human and elf parents. His brother was killed when they were little, but came back as Ya'akov's eidolon, who took on the name Epsilon. He was a quadruped, and his most common form was that of a large black wolf with wings. Ya'akov became half-celestial halfway through his adventure, and thanks to a GM ruling Epsilon gained the Celestial creature template. Ya'akov has a major affinity towards angels, and often summons them to aid him in battle. Epsilon has electrical attacks, including a lightning breath weapon. Ya'akov has been known to ride Epsilon into battle while wielding his +5 Holy, Keen, and Impact Katana named "Awakening: Oath of Brothers".

The pair usually goes into battle together, sharing the damage they take between each other to augment their survivability. Ya'akov has a very dignified, but open personality. He despises demons, devils, and abyssals, and will only work with them if there is a greater evil to deal with, otherwise he will destroy them on sight. He also tends to face-palm often when his companions do something stupid, and has even burned down a brothel before (after a party member went in there to "gather information" in the middle of an infiltration mission during a siege. He was not caught). His most common spell is his empowered, quickened Snowball, which he uses on a regular basis in battle, and to send a message to people who annoy him severely.

Epsilon is much more ecstatic than Ya'akov, and has a tremendous appetite. It became a running gag that Ya'akov's greatest challenge in life was filling the void that was Epsilon's stomach. He has been known to use his electrical bite to bite people's ankles if they get on his nerves. *Bzzzzt!* He can be a very amusing character, but in battle he is a terror to the enemy. His claws do vicious rend damage and inflict bleeding wounds. Before very major battles, Ya'akov often changes Epsilon's evolutions around with spells in such a way that Epsilon resembles a Dragon instead of a wolf.

Let's see someone find a picture for these guys!

I like all of the ideas for Epsilon! (Especially the evolved form!). Not sure about the one for Ya'akov; if you get rid of the beard, give him a lighter skin-tone, and add some wings, then I can see it in the face at least.

Never thought about a "fused" one before. I like the concept though!

Dotting in to follow - I just discovered the joys of searching for the perfect character artwork. I may or not have been trolling deviantArt for three hours earlier collecting possible future character portraits, as well as finally finding a couple of pictures that sum up the half-orc paladin I'm currently playing. :)

Wayang rogue. He was raised in a secluded village populated only by wayangs, and never quite understood their aversion to other races and peoples. That quality is what convinced the leaders of his village to send him out to investigate disturbances in the boundaries between the planes.

I have yet to find any artwork that depicts a Wayang in any realistic manner, so I've been picturing them as a cross between a gnome and a drow...

Tiefling Paladin, Male, white hair, black eyes, red skin, no beard, cambion horns, muscular body but not body builder and follower of Sarenrae.
He want be a hero, he is a simple "man", prefer diplomacy to battle and seek nonlethal combat and redemption.

Kitsune bard, Male, red fur, rich and variegated dress, liute or violin instrument, dress like an occidental bard.
He is a lier, a wannabe Münchhausen baron, always ready to bluff.

Half Elf Psychic Investigator, grey/white hair, yellow eyes, very skinny.

Drow noble(lv15) Brawler lv9/ Ninja lv6/ Mythic path: Trickster tier2. Description: 5ft 7in tall, 140lbs shorter spiked white hair, red eyes,Gloves of storing with two 9 ring broadswords inside (don't mind if pic shows with or without swords as he frequently switches from them to unarmed). Slight build but obviously very muscular with only monks robes and his bag of holding on.

May I suggest these? From focused on the task (to ignore the heartbreak), to being "freed" by her time in the wilderness/forest.

Heinrich’s 2 major ‘flaws’ are his intense belief that he’s the smartest guy in the room (he usually is, but maybe shouldn’t act like it) and that the rest of his party’s only job is to keep hostiles busy until he can deal with the situation. But ‘deal with the situation,’ I mean to imply that he views virtually every threat as a nuisance to be shooed away, like a fly, rather than actually dangerous.

His magical manifestations tend to involve him tracing glowing geometric designs (not runes!), as he doesn’t really believe magic is ‘magic,’ so much as he’s just tapping into some mysterious universal power source, more ‘ooops, science!’ than anything mystical.

Details, Details: Pnevraam is a bit of a pyromaniac and is a disgraced member of House Notz'O'Gren ever since he was discovered dealing drugs. Ordinarily, the House would ignore the recreational activities of its members. Unfortunately, Pnevraam’s pesh lab was bombed by a rival dealer. The lab was in an outbuilding on the campus of the Library of Kenabres. Needless to say, Pnevraam made himself scarce.

Mannerisms When adventuring, Pnevraam is constantly, obsessively polishing his flame touched calculus with specially oiled lamb’s wool.
Uses inhalant narcotics. He loves to combine the smell of burning flesh from different species with various drug inhalants. Different side effects for different flesh, he says.

Appearance: Pnevraam is a gnome alchemist, occasionally mistaken for a wizard. His head is too large for his body and wears a fashionless witch-like hat to hide his insecurities about it. Regardless of his constantly prestidigitated clothes, his hair is always tousled, soot marks his face and burns scars mar his hands. His left arm has a gnome calculus (a scoop like device to aid in throwing his bombs) strapped to it, a prosthetic to compensate for his maimed left hand. Burn scars cover 30% of his body; a testament to his persistence and dedication to alchemy. When his lab is up and running he is taciturn and impatient with interruptions of his life’s work; Alchemy.
Pnevraam wears a pair of flask bandoleers over a leather jak and his Mithral shirt. He is often seen feeding a miniature turtle (actually, he carries at least 10 of the little buggers at time, using their gastric system to trigger his often noxious alchemy bombs).

Self Introduction: "Names’ Pnevraam Notz'O'Gren, enfant terrible, trouble maker. Best burn all those expectations and keep the tender sensibilities to yourself. While it doesn't work all the time, it’s always better to fight the establishment (for profit); delight in scandalizing them fella’s who try to censure me.
House Notz'O'Gren doesn’t apologize for its actions, though some thick skulls just don’t understand our true nature. If the common folk are frightened of my science, let them be frightened! I savor the taste of their fear.
When dealing with the powerful, dispense with etiquette and tact, and cut to the root; they want a service I can provide, they can damn well quit with the pussy-footin’. Love the looks on their faces an’ gasps of offense when I don’t ply the fancy wordplay. Let them think me uncouth. The rules of discourse and behavior are a waste of time. Ye earn respect; ye can’t get that from any title. Cut to the bloody chase! You came to me. Don’t mince words".

Auroros:
A former human turned dragon shunted in from another realm. During his first few days in the setting, he accidentally absorbed a curse from someone else, turning into a "corrupted"(the setting's dragons are based on the individual, and he hails from a realm where dragons don't exist) dragon permanently. He has wings like an eagle's, a wolf's head and pelt, horns and spines that look like miniature mountains, and has cryokinetic powers.

Dragons and humanoids alike assume that he's just a dumb beast (he can only make canine noises, while other dragons in this setting can only speak Draconic; he can, however understand and write Draconic and Common very well and rather quickly). Even after his intelligence is noticed, he is considered a goofball, even when he's being dead serious, as he uses a blend of human and canine gestures to express himself and does well at human activities, especially crafting and disabling devices, despite being four times the size of a human.

He is seeking a set of gems that grant wishes, but only to dragons, so he can found the Dragon Knights to improve relations between dragons and humanoids (in this setting, dragons also believe humanoids to be dumb beasts, while humanoids believe that dragons are demons).

Is there anyone still working this thread? I just saw this and it's awesome, but it's pretty old...

I usually try pretty hard to find a picture (never have much luck with miniatures) that matches my character, but I haven't yet for this one (game hasn't actually started yet), so I feel like I'm to most receptive to ideas for him right now.

Ok, so, He's an Elven Investigator who eventually prestiges into Student of War.

Definitely past his prime, he spent his whole life reading fictional adventures and murder-mysteries, and some historical fiction. Was planning to write a book of his own, but saw a human motivational speaker who challenged attendees to "go out and seize life by the lapels, because it's too short". He took it to heart, and decided to stop living adventures vicariously through stories and experience them himself. Whenever he uses inspiration to succeed at something, he says something along the lines of, "I read a book, once, on some of the advanced lock-making techniques" or "The trick is to pretend to stab at the eyes; people have a deep-seated psychological paranoia about protecting their eyes". May occasionally correct people with, "Well, acktchually" after knowledge checks. Uses a rapier, because he thinks it makes him look dashing, and also because he already had one hanging above the fireplace from his late-father's estate. Didn't have the patience or discipline to practice nuanced magical theory, but why bother when you can just follow a written recipe and accomplish the same thing?!
