The Mythic Iconics are badass

Harsk gets to bring back some of his alternate steampunk universe look from the Gamemastery Guide.

Kyra's gone all trenchcoat-priest.

Lem's maxed out his ranks in dapperness.

Amiri and Seoni have taken their tattoos up to 11.

Sajan looks like he's ready to take on a marathon session of SNK Bosses.

And this is what really excites me: Valeros is promising support for no-shirt warriors.

HELL YES.

There are some cases where I think the originals are cooler, and some where I think the Mythics are, but both flavors are excellent to have. :)

Well, it is very goblin-esque. And I've been wanting to use tooth fairies in a game since I saw Hellboy 2.
Anyways, odd seeing Kyra without the headdress. I like it though.

Some thoughts on them all:

Valeros... awesome. Looks like he's channeling a bit of his inner Conan, too.

Ezren... where has he been hiding that 18+ STR with those arms? Was he sneaking some inherent bonus Wish spells by on the side?

Merisiel... has ALL the daggers (I think I counted, assuming that she has equal numbers on both sides, a total of ~38). Also looks taller/bigger, though it might just be the art.

Kyra... stylish trenchcoat. Looks good with her hair down, too.

Seoni... seems to be wearing even less clothing than before. Although it looks less likely to blow away in a slight breeze now. All the tattoos, mixed with what looks like a slightly more tanned skin tone, and I'm not entirely sure. I might like her original picture more, or the one where she's sitting down and Dragon is coming out of her tattoos.

Sajan... could be auditioning for Mortal Kombat. Or low-fat dairy products, since it looks like there's less than 1% there.

Seelah... has a halo? Eh, don't have an opinion either way on that.

Amiri... looks more confident. And has the sword-over-shoulder pose down to an art form. Pardon the pun. Oddly, the picture doesn't convince me/sell me, so to speak.

Lem... dapper. Or pimpin', either or.

Harsk... has clearly been holidaying in Alkenstar.

Lini... not sure exactly what's different there. So unconvinced on that one as well.

I'd love to know if the other Iconics (Alahazra, Lirianne, Damiel et al, and even Alain I suppose, though he gets to go to the Worldwound and be Mythic there) will also be getting a Mythic upgrade as well for artwork.

Wrath of the Righteous - I like the half-orc on the first page, and that's a hell of a fight on the second.

Mummy's Mask - Kyra really looks to be in her environment fighting the scorpion. Great pose.

Warden's of the Reborn Forge - W00t! Please let there be more gunslinger stuff that finds its way into PFS!

For the most part the new Mythic look is awesome. I especially like Kyra's new design.

The only one I'm not really liking is Merisiel and Lini, that domino mask face paint on Merisiel just doesn't seem to fit for some reason. Which for me is odd as I think it looks fine on Amiri. As for Lini I just really can't tell what changed.

Also Harsk's badger is apparently camera shy as he appears to be hiding behind Droogami.

I seem to remember someone, maybe Vic, saying in another thread that all of the Iconics got an upgraded look. They've just been spread out through the Mythic Adventures, Realms and Origins books.

Yeah...I wasn't even sure who she was at first. She should stick with that look, no matter how many (or few) mythic ranks she has.

The playtest ran for a long time, a few months. They saw lots of things to clarify/rework and have their own internal playtesting as well. I'll be surprised if the final book isn't quite different (yet familiar) than the playtest doc.

Wow, Kyra looks fantastic. She's always been my favorite though.

Also really like Merisiel as well. Lem looks like he deserves some respect, very dignified. Great artwork all around.

Looking at them again, it just hit me how much thicker Amiri's arms are compared to her vanilla design. Abs too; less model and more barbarian.

She really looks the part there. :)

As much as I enjoy good artwork, I have to admit I still care more about the stats.

No amount of drawings is going to fix the game, if Mythic does not work as it was intended to work.
