Replaying With Non-Society Characters

Sovereign Court

I play a decent amount of pfs and have been forced to replay scenarios. I was wondering if I could replay scenarios with society legal rules and wealth per level rules (poor compared to society characters), but without having any boon sheets. My goal for this would be to test out builds, roleplay more, and enjoy my Friday nights more.

The thing about things happening off the books is that they're off the books.

No one is going to sanction this on any official level, but if it happens after a negotiation between you and your GM, it's also true that no one is going to know about it.

Sovereign Court

Ok, I'd tell my GM about it anyways because bringing out a 7th level character out of nowhere at a game store I visit every other week would catch attention.

If other players at the table, including the GM, are planning to get credit for the scenario, then this is not allowed.

I no one is getting credit for it, of course, then the question is moot.

Problem is, if the whole table isn't being run according to PFS rules, then no one gets PFS credit. People can get their session revoked after the fact for an illegal game.

Now if you wanted to arrange a table of non-PFS play (to test out builds and such, like you said) and just use scenarios as convenient pre-written one-shots, that's something else entirely. But if you do that, then no one at that table gets official PFS credit for playing.

It's all or nothing, but the "nothing" can still be fun and rewarding. :)
