My friend started up a game, and if the name didn't give it away, I am playing a Catfolk. However, my character has been hooking up with a human for a few months in game now...is there a chance that they could have had an accident?
Can catfolk and humans breed, I wouldn't mind it would and to some interesting situations.
I think the rules allow for all sorts of halfbreeds, but only half-elves and half-orcs + dhampir and all the semi/half-outsiders (aasimar, tiefling, ifrit etc.) from the ARG are statted out. My best bet would be to use the race builder to make something that seemed fitting for a half-catfolk. I do believe in the possibility of an "accident" between a catfolk and a human.
Does anyone else have any thoughts on this?
See, that's kind of a trick question. It doesn't say they can, but it doesn't say they can't. They really have no common ancestry or anything, but, then again, neither do orcs or elves and humans. It's a fantasy world, anything's possible! Really, it's up to your GM.
EDIT: Heck, elves are aliens! They really shouldn't be able to breed with humans, but half-elves are a core race for some stupid reason. Orcs at least come from the same planet....
Lamashtu loves halfbreeds of all kinds, and might even be the force behind the Catfolk being created thanks to the Demon Mother's Mask. If that was the case then I am sure that the catfolk would still be fertile with humans.
There might very well be the possibility of a half human being born to a catfolk, but it's really something that should be done between the DM and the players. It's not really conducive to the game for one of the PCs to be unable to adventure due to pregnancy. Now if the mother is a NPC, then that allows more freedom to explore this, but it may not be that interesting to the other players in your group.
