Here's a novella I have available at Amazon. It's free to read for everyone this weekend (Happy Birthday, America!). Wilum Pugmire (of the New Lovecraft Circle) recently reviewed it, and he seems to have enjoyed it; maybe you will too.

Sovereign Court

An opportunity for shameless self-promotion. Excellent. I was going to post one of these threads myself if I couldn't find one.

It's been a long time since I was active on the boards, but hopefully one or two of you remember me. I just published my first sci-fi novel as an ebook on Amazon:

The Hall of Mirrors Effect

The website has some art and background for the book, and I hope to update it regularly with new material. My first posted review should be up some time today(four out of five stars, woo-hoo!).

Just picked up your book for my kindle. I'll post a review on Amazon in the next week or so. The first chapter is awesome.

I have a number of articles in Hero Games 5th edition magazine digital Hero. I had sort of become the Fantasy Hero guy in the magazine, and was about to become a regular columnist when the magazine folded

There are all on the Paizo site. Digital Hero issues 11 (about running a transworld fantasy) 40,41,43,45,46,47 which are mainly mechanical - 3 articles on Talents (replicating some D&D feats) and a couple of character articles.

I have some scientific publications, if those count?

Scintillae and I are in the process of writing a collaborative fiction story, if it goes anywhere I'll be sure to let you guys know =)

Speaking only for myself, because that's what I enjoy doing. Publication for me is less the goal and more a potential pleasant side-effect. I write because I enjoy writing and have a lot of stories in my head I want to tell.

If you don't enjoy the writing part of the project, IMO, it's not the thing for you.

I deleted the comment above, no pity parties

sorry Ortho

If it helps, I have heard about multiple authors, who before they got their big break, had another rejection letters to paper a wall. So just hang in there.

No worries man. Keep trying is all I can say =) If it's what you want to do.

Not sure how I didn't wind up here before, but hello everyone!

Some of you might have seen my work on the Web Fiction page here (The Irregulars, a piece I had a lot of fun with and which I remain very proud of), but I wanted to pipe up and let folks know I have a lot more than that one story on the market.

For those who love single short stories (samples are included at the links):

Summer People: Bethany just wanted to work for a summer in her aunt's New England café, make a little money, and maybe meet a boy or two before going away to college. Of course when she starts wishing for a summer that will never end, that might be precisely what she gets. Going out of print soon, available through October.

Heart of the Myrmidon: When mankind fought the Hyperion War they created weapons the world had never seen before or since. Pollux is one of those weapons. A Myrmidon, a genetic hybrid bred and trained to fight and die, no one expected him or the others like him to survive. Adrift in a world that doesn't need him, Pollux searches for purpose. He doesn't expect to find it, until the night that he does.

Skin Deep: The City of Angels is going to hell in a hand basket. Miracles happen sometimes though, and Malachi has seen them for himself. When someone crosses the line though, he picks up the bloody tools of his trade and goes to even the score. Angels, daemons, and an Old Testament enforcer, it has everything you could want!

Those are a small sample. Those who are curious might also want to seek out The Unusual Transformation of Abraham Carver, the anthology Sidekicks, and the collections Big Damn Heroines and Noir Carnival. Warning, none of these stories are for the faint of heart, or for readers that get hot under the collar easily.

Thanks everyone, I hope you enjoy!

Neal

I have an article published in Beyond the Wall, a book of articles and essays on the Song of Ice and Fire books/Game of Thrones TV series. Not available online though.

Do supplements for Pathfinder printed by 3rd party publishers count?

RPG Superstar 2013 Top 16

Since you asked...

Fare-Weather Friends at Ray Gun Revival (which I just discovered has shut down, so this is an archived version).

Billy O'Bannon's Time Travel Dating Service

A story in this anthology of paranormal noir

As Iron Sharpens Iron

Annihilation, Inc.

I've got another story in Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine, but no link for that.

How about some 600+ book reviews?

I also used to have a game review column.

But there's "The Manual of Aurania' in 1977, the first privately printed D&D supplement. Not very well done, very outdated but is fairly important as far as the history of D&D goes.

Does having your name published count? :P

Hmmm... I used to be a magazine editor and published tons of stuff in the magazine. I also have had articles published in magazines and newspapers. Unfortunately that was almost all before the web became what it is today so I can't link them.

I am in the process of finishing my first novel. As soon as I get it polished and online, I'll post something here.
