Extra Arcana advice for a standard Summoner...

Advice

So I'm building a standard Summoner, one that lets its Eidolon do the fighting up front and casts support spells for it and the party in the background. I'm focusing heavily on Conjuration spells (like the Pit spells) and will be taking the Spell Focus and Greater Spell Focus feats for it.

I think I'm also going to be taking the Eldritch Heritage feats for the Arcane Bloodline, and with that, at 13th level comes Extra Arcana. I'm trying to decide which spells from the Wizard/Sprcerer spell list to add to my arsenal that Summoners don't already gain access to. At 13th and 15th level I can select any spell of 5th level or lower and at 17th level I can select any spell of 6th level or lower. Also at 17th level I'll be gaining 'School Power' which would give my Conjuration spells an additional +2 DC. With high DC's and no feat room for Spell Penetration, I'm trying to get as many spells that ignore SR as possible.

Advice?

Augment Summoning.

I'm not looking for advice on feats, I'm looking for suggestions on non-Summoner spells...

Emergency Force Sphere- Invincibility button.

Paragon Surge- If playing a half-elf, you now know all summoner spells.

Permanency and Contingency- Things summoners can't normally do. Contingency is especially good.

Blood Money- Free True Seeing, Stoneskin, Spell Turning and others.

Flurry of Snowballs- Weird, but if you need a spell for spell perfection, you can do worse. Reflex, SR no and compatible with rime spell. But honestly, I would focus on others above. Summoners get tons of good spells already, you don't really need it.

Some good advice there. I had been considering spells like Silent Image (gotta use those 1st level spells for something later on), Greater False Life (always useful) and Cloudkill...

Explain to me please exactly how Paragon Surge works, particularly in the fashion you suggest.

Silent Image seems to me to be a mediocre option regardless of usage of level 1 slots, just because of the level you'll get it.

I would never pick Greater False Life over Emergency Force Sphere. Greater False Life negates part of an attack. Emergency Force Sphere negates anything, potentially multiple anythings in a round, sometimes several rounds of anythings if you need.

Cast Paragon Surge to get Expanded Arcana. Temporarily learn 1-2 summoner spells. Cast spells as needed. Not quite as busted as on a sorcerer or oracle, but still amazing consider the number of utility spells known it will save you. (Plane Shift, Planar Binding, Create Demiplane, etc)

I find that Silent Image just has such incredible utility, there has never been a level when I wouldn't find it to be useful. Massive range, no save unless its interacted with (or utterly absurd) and just a 1st level spell slot makes it a pretty strong contender in my book.

Paragon Surge looks ideal, it'll definitely make the cut as will Contingency (too complimentary with spells like Teleport). Strong case for Emergency Force Sphere as well - thank you very much for the suggestions.

I don't know if it would work well for you, but you could always be a samsaran. Mystic past life lets you choose 1+ your casting stat spells from other lists that are the same kind of magic as yours (arcane in your case). Just a thought.
