Fantasy doesn't stop being fantasy when you add guns or computers or robots or cybernetics or chainsaws or lasers or electronic music or spaceships or hoverbikes.

I won't speak for everyone, but I've got plenty of room in my heart for guns that shoot caster shells or computing engines built on divine code or artificial beings given the spark of true life or people that augment themselves with both arcane magic and technology or mundane logging equipment repurposed for war or light-based weaponry focused through celestial lenses or strange vessels that are an amalgamation of people and vehicles that sail on solar winds through a vast ocean-like space or paladins running down literal speed demons on their divine and cybernetically bonded Street Razors.

It's all in the execution.

Bring on the literal ghosts in machines. Bring on some demonically possessed tanks. Bring on haunted alien shipwrecks. Bring on cybernetically augmented angels. Bring on the bards that can remix their songs and others to even wilder effects. Bring on the sentient oozes that are remnants of one world's Gray Goo scenario. Bring on android mages running arcane subroutines. Bring on that mad science, be it benign or malevolent. Bring on the exploration of android souls. Bring on ever more alien aliens.

Also, more Verces plz! :D

Brigh the robo-goddess needs more love too. :)

Liberty's Edge

Some 3pp should totally snatch you up Mikaze.

How are super advanced alien androids not fantasy?

I mean, D&D stopped being "Medieval fantasy" when they added stuff from Jewish, Greek, Hindu, et al. mythologies

Perhaps you haven't seen THIS then.

I'm sure I'll get jumped for this statement, but: That's not an RPG. That's a video game.

And no, I haven't seen it.

(Also, while I may not have qualified "pen and paper" in my earlier statement regarding cyberpunk games, considering the focus of this board, I really shouldn't need to.)

I know the dirty dog got my hopes up.
