Could someone help me out in figuring the cost of certain ammunition for a gunslinger, specifically if he's crafting the ammunition himself?
Alchemical Cartridge (paper, adamantine bullet)
Alchemical Cartridge (paper, silver bullet)
Alchemical Cartridge (paper, cold iron bullet)
Some of these seems pretty straight forward (cold iron would be double the cost, crafted at half the cost, so could cost my gunslinger 12gp per cold iron cartridge), but the others confuse me. Does the adamantine cartridge cost 36gp (half of 12+60) or 66gp (half of 12, +60) or something else? Similar for silver... Alchemical Silver says it costs +2gp per piece of ammo (implying a normal cost of 14gp per, and either 7gp or 8gp to craft), but there's a separate entry for a silver bullet in Ultimate Combat which costs 25gp; I'm completely lost here.
Could someone please help shed some light on what these costs should be?
Note: I know this is probably just a general rules question, but it's for a PFS character and I'm aware of (but lack an understanding of) special rules for purchasing ammunition for gunslingers in PFS.

This is how you Figure it out.
You can craft bullets, pellets, and black powder for a cost in raw materials equal to 10% of the price.
So all bullets are 10% of the price of the bullet
If you have at least 1 rank in Craft (alchemy), you can craft alchemical cartridges for a cost in raw materials equal to half the price of the cartridge.
So as long as you have 1 rank in Craft (Alchemy) alchemical cartridges are half the price.
So when you are combining the 2, you first figure out the price of the special material bullet and add that to the price of the alchemical cartridges.
So you get these prices for all bullets
Alchemical Cartridge, Dragon’s Breath = 20 gp
Alchemical Cartridge, Entangling Shot = 20 gp
Alchemical Cartridge, Flare = 5 gp
Alchemical Cartridge, Salt Shot = 6 gp
Alchemical Cartridge, Paper = 6 gp
Alchemical Cartridge Cold Iron, Paper = 6.2 gp
Alchemical Cartridge Silver, Paper = 8.5 gp
Alchemical Cartridge Adamantine, Paper = 12.1 gp
Alchemical Cartridge Blood Crystal, Paper = 9.1 gp
Alchemical Cartridge Elysian Bronze, Paper = 8.1 gp
Alchemical Cartridge Fire-forged steel, Paper = 7.6 gp
Alchemical Cartridge Frost-forged steel, Paper = 7.6 gp
Alchemical Cartridge Viridium, Paper = 8.1 gp
Black Powder = 1 gp
Bullet/Pellets = 1 sp
Bullet/Pellets, Cold Iron = 2 sp
Bullet/Pellets, Silver = 2.5 gp
Bullet/Pellets, Adamantine = 6.1 gp
Bullet/Pellets, Blood Crystal = 3.1 gp
Bullet/Pellets, Elysian Bronze = 2.1 gp
Bullet/Pellets, Fire-forged steel = 1.6 gp
Bullet/Pellets, Frost-forged steel = 1.6 gp
Bullet/Pellets, Viridium = 2.1 gp

its half the total cost, not half the bullet plus the special material cost.
Actually it is Half the Alchemical Cartridges cost plus 10% the special material bullet cost.
Mike clarified that here to answer the OP in that thread.

ugg, I re read that post from mike... hmmm... maybe I am wrong...
Let me try to figure this out..
Edit: Ok that post is not as clear as I originally thought it was. I will ask for a clarification on the clarification.. ;)

So when you are combining the 2, you first figure out the price of the special material bullet and add that to the price of the alchemical cartridges.
The description of Alchemical Cartridges indicate the bullet is part of the cartridge, and not purchased separately. Otherwise your price for plain paper cartridges (with a bullet in them) would be 6.1gp instead of 6gp.
What I can't find are any rules for making the bullet which is included in an alchemical cartridge out of a special material (other than the general rules for all ammunition). But damn, if adamantine paper cartridges only cost 12.1gp I'll happily triple inventory.

Okay, so:
Alchemical Cartridge (paper, adamantine bullet) = 36gp
Alchemical Cartridge (paper, silver bullet) = 7gp
Alchemical Cartridge (paper, cold iron bullet) = 12gpCorrect?
I've just calculated those independently and agree on all three.
You buy alchemical cartridges fully made; there is nothing in the rules to allow for a special material bullet to be combined with a (presumably) steel casing to reduce the overall cost of the cartridge.

Alchemical Cartridges have a paper casing, but yeah you don't buy the bullet and powder separately.
Also note that it's not a paper cartridge with a silver bullet, it's a paper cartridge with a alchemical silver bullet. Silver Bullets are a special ammo that auto confirms crits on lycanthropes.
So how it works by Mr. Brock confirmation on my post in the thread linked by Dragnmoon is that you take the normal price for the ammo, add in the special materials cost like you would for any piece of ammo and then you use the gunsmithing reduction.
Mithral is still a problem because paper cartridges lack a weight.

Actually, that FAQ is only in reference to Mithral melee weapons.
Also, here's an updated list of ammunition, since this thread is over a year old.

Also, here is an ammo tracker that I made using Nefreet's calculations (I added in the cost of powder to the bullet prices to make it easier for maths), in case it's useful for anyone.
