Hello folks,

I want to know if anyone has any suggestions for utilizing Feast of Ravenmoor with the Rise of the Runelords storyline. As it is now, my players have just finished Burnt Offerings and I wanted to send them away for a bit to let the events of the Skinsaw Murders get setup.

I've got a few ideas for adding some consistency with the overall plot of the AP, but nothing concrete and nothing that is really amazing. So, I turn to you for suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

Well, you could just run it as a straight side-quest, with no major hook into the main plot of Runelords: A tax collector from Magnimar seeks out the PCs because she'd heard tales of their derring-do, and thinks that this party of adventurers from Sandpoint might be just the ticket to get herself out of a bind! So she travels to Sandpoint to hire them.

If you want a hook back into the plot of Skinsaw Murders, maybe her office is under the scrutiny of Justice Ironbriar in some capacity, which is why she's seeking outside help.

If you have any living captives from Nualia's crew in Burnt Offerings, you can have the PCs escort them to Magnimar. From there you can have the tax office come for them and give them the hook.

Then if you want to make it really connected, maybe Ghalaunder is connected to the runewells kinda like Lamashtu is and have the sacrifices coming from the greediest of the people instead of the festival queen?

Thanks for the replies.

Originally, I was just going to run the story as is with minimal changed. The only thing I had done was made the tax collector a cousin to the Mayor of Sandpoint.

I do like the idea of somehow connecting Justice Ironbriar, and using the runewell/greed sacrifices as well.
