Strength used to hit for ranged attacks?

Advice

Liberty's Edge

Is there any class, archetype, or feat that. Allows you to use your strength to hit with thrown weapons?

There is an item that does that, can't recall the name.

Belt of mighty hurling

-Cross

3E also had a feat in Complete Adventurer to use strength to hit with thrown weapons, and the Bloodstorm Blade prestige class from Tome of Battle effectively did so as it let you use a swift action to treat thrown attacks as melee attacks for one round (use str to hit, trip from range, use power attack in an edition that did not have Deadly Aim, etc...) unlimited times/day.

Remember to pick up the Two-Handed Thrower feat from UC if going the strength route. You also want blinkback belt, it's annoying how everything you want is in the belt slot.

Thank you for all the great advice I'm trying to do a switch hitter either a monk using shurikens or a fighter using chakrams leaning toward the fighter as they can be used as melee or thrown for weapon focus or specialization. Any build help would be appreciated. This is going to be a character for living pathfinder so all those rules will apply.

In pathfinder society can you pay 1.5 times the price of an item to change the slot it takes up?

Wait, you can use 3E rules in Living Pathfinder (whatever that is)? Go [base classes] X / Bloodstorm Blade 4 / Master Thrower 5, then!

Master Thrower is only 5 levels and all of them are worth it. BB is 10 levels and while the levels 5-10 are ok the main prize is levels 1-4 so you can treat thrown as melee and so you can full attack with the same thrown weapon. Very good throwing classes.

I have made such characters, I usually enter with a multiclassed Warblade / Barbarian, using Lion Spirit Totem (C.Champsion) for pounce, so I can charge into melee, kill the guy I rushed at, then hurl all my remaining attacks at other foes. It's pretty fun. Even more fun is doing trips and such from range.

The Exchange

This isn't a PFS thread. But you can not change magic item slots or use 3rd Ed resources in Pathfinder Society.
