I'll just go ahead and say it.

The art on the cover to Pathfinder #76 may just be my favorite cover yet for a Pathfinder product.

Tease. Not even a link. :P

Oh now that's just mean, sir. Cover artist? General description of the scene? Pretty please?

Paizo Employee Creative Director

Wayne Reynolds is doing all the Wrath of the Righteous covers. Of which #76 is part 4.

Is there a place on ths website where we could veiw it? I looked under the AP section and it only goes up to part 3.

Or are you just flaunting your powers of Creative Director by teasing us? ;)

Nope. I'm bragging. And honestly delighted by the awesome cover, since I'm writing half of that adventure's volume and one of that adventure's back matter articles and two of that adventure's new monsters.

The art itself will probably be updated in, I'm guessing, about 5 months.

YAY!

I can say "yay!" because I can glance at the outline and see the written description.

I can't wait to see the real thing!

Sorry kids, no hints from me either.

TEASE!

I'm excited to see how it turns out!

Just out of curiosity, what was your favorite AP cover before this one came along?

My favorite background image is the goblins from Pathfinder 1, and my favorite character is either Merisiel or the character from #76.

What, not Ameiko or Shalelu from Jade Regent? ^^

Ameiko is now in spot #3, and Koriah is #4. Shalelu is cool, definitely in the top 10, but not the top 5. (5 would be Empress Ameiko!)

Oh, well. I'm definitely looking forward to see what excellent characters have you so excited. :)

This adventure has my players very excited to say the least...now I can tease them with your comment on the cover art...

Life just keeps getting better!

If Wayne Renolds is doing the cover, of course it'll be awesome!

Also I'm particularly fond of the various Skull and Shackles covers myself.. they were awesome.

Speaking of covers... on the cover of the Worldwound Excursion, is it just me or does it look like the half orc paladin woman has Raven's Head, an artifact of Pharasma, casually tucked in her belt?

-TimD

Raven's Head has four heads, all of them which are gold-plated.

when can we expect to see the best cover ever? for that matter the write up for part 6? just curious, and also i can't wait to see it:) if Mr. Jacobs thinks its the best ever i'm inclined to believe him.

I keep periodically checking the product description to see if the cover has been posted too. lol

I check every day :)

Is it there yet?

Check the pre-order tab, it's there, it's awesome.

Meh. I thought the dragon being vorpaled was more awesome. Perhaps when I have it in my fingers in two months I'll think otherwise though. *shrugs*

Or I can link it here.

That looks like still the mock-up cover; it doesn't match the rest of the WotR covers. The logo is wrong.

thats just the place holder cover. Of the fiendish treant blight druid Carrock of Storasta. It is not the final cover

Well nevermind I'm an idiot.

is it there yet?

why isn't it there yet?

Because we all have a LOT of other things to take care of. We're pretty busy across the company right now recovering from the delays caused by Gen Con, and getting final art up before it's scheduled to do so would cause unnecessary ripple effects to the schedule as it's currently planned out.

AKA: The final art will go live when it's scheduled to. The book itself only just got shipped to the printer earlier this week, and that's the first point when the final cover was more or less set in stone anyway.

Patience. It will happen when it happens.

HA!

Our cover is here!

It's a hot chick. What a surprise.

Is this the risen succubus of desna or a new character?

Liberty's Edge

I'm guessing that's Arueshalae. I don't know who else it would be.

Technically, it's four hot chicks, I can see Seoni, Seela & Merisiel in the background picture, but what I really want to know is what are they fighting?

edit: You are also ignoring one somewhat subtle thing. She's a succubus, with almost no bare skin showing!.. I'm only seeing possibly biceps besides her face being uncovered. Heck, her armor is even less boob-platey than Seela's! OMG, it's a Succubus in Sensible Armor!!!
Sorry, couldn't resist.

Although it is pretty ornate.

I agree there it is an awesome cover

I fell in love with it too. Just the aura of bad girl turning good with a small hint of temptation. My personal PC will always have the chance encounter trait no matter what just to have a connection with her.

Sorry I think it may be love at first sight. :}

Eh, it's decent. Not my favorite cover, but it's not bad.

This for me. Different strokes, I suppose.

Paizo Employee Creative Director

Nothing anyone can say can make this anything other than the best Pathfinder AP cover ever!!! :-P

Spoiler:
And yes indeed that's Arueshalae, the redeemed succubus. Her art order was basically "make sure she's got no skin showing except her face and hands and looks badass!"

With the short black hair and her blue armor, she reminds me of Kitiara from the DragonLance days, who was my favorite character in that saga.

So, how do you pronounce her name? :)

Yeah, it's a mouthful. I'd rather need a nickname she would approve of. :p

I think the "Oh it's just another hot chick" is funny considering that the last three were an armored half orc, an armored dwarf, and a worm that walks. So saturated!!!

Indeed considering the next three will probably be Baphomet and Deskari.

Baphomet and Areelu, actually. So the last cover WILL have a sexy relatively risque female character, which is part of the reason why I wanted to have well-armored female characters before.

Hm, so either "Arue" or "Shalae" as nickname. I guess it'll be the first or my players will think that I can't let go of Shalelu (when it really is Ameiko I am going to miss most, heh. With Shalelu a close second, though). ^^

Any sexy risque men coming up in the covers? Just wondering :P

The cover of Volume 2 is pretty risque for a dwarf. ;)
