Guild Forums / Websites

As with all MMOs, guild forums and websites are an important way for members of a guild can communicate and coordinate their efforts. I believe that a great MMO would create its own place to build their forums / websites within their own community / forums. And if Goblinworks and/or Paizo starts work early while Pathfinder Online is in Development then more guilds would be encouraged to set up shop right here instead of some 3rd party forum site. I really would encourage doing this now so that we KS Guild backers can start setting up shop now and begin to build our communities now so we can have a better start when the game launches.

A lot of guilds already have websites using other popular 3rd party websites just for guild sites. It would be unnecessary for (IMO) for GW or Paizo to try to make a guild website function since there's already plenty out there.

You could always check out the second-party site of The Seventh Veil. We are using off-the-shelf builds for our forums and wiki, because it's far easier than reskinning one enough to look unique.

The UnNamed Company has a forum that is currently using the graphic resources from other games, that have been provided to Guild Launch, by those developers.

Of you are asking, when will GW be providing the same resources? That is a good question, and I certainly hope they get around to it well before EE.

Fixed the link: The UnNamed Company

It looks like whatever browser you use doesn't copy the "http://" at the beginning of a URL. I use Google Chrome and don't have that problem.

Good catch; we've been using some Paizo stuff according to the Paizo Community use policy. Those terms are pretty lenient if you aren't selling anything...

Is this thread just a shameless way to plug your guild websites because those of us at Keepers of the Circle entirely disapprove of such behaviour. ;)

^^ gj guys :p

The Empyrean Order has a rather noble and valiant blue one I'll add.

Pax Aeturnum is adamant in condemning this shameful plugging

The Deepforge Company has one on Guild Launch as well at Deepforge Company

Aww, here I was the first to post a replay and didn't even try to do a plug:S but here we go..
You can check out our site at The Bloody Hand

As a side note Tigari I noticed by visiting your site that Wyldethorne had signed up. He has his time tied up in rl currently so if you need to contact the Pax Aeturnum state department you can contact me by pm here or as Pagan on the Pax board

Same applies to the Deepforge company Hardin

Congrats on that ZenPagan! :)

I am merely filling in so he can attend properly to things. I fully hope to hand the burden back one day :)

That's interesting... most of the above links aren't working correctly. I have fixed them and listed them below.

The Seventh Veil

The UnNamed Company

The Empyrean Order

Deepforge Company

The Bloody Hand

Now how's that for shameless plugging ;)

That might have actually crossed the line into shameful plugging...

Had me scrolling up to make sure our link worked, which naturally it did.

Is that the PFO equivalent of Rickrolling?

Goblin Squad Member

:D You see what I did there, don't you? Just took a page out of your book is all, Nihimon. Hope you don't mind =)

@Jiminy- I do believe you've just coined a name for the next internet trend sensation!!

Hey, mine was at least on April 1st.

Nah.

If they click the link, they'll get the joke, and I made sure to dispel the notion that we were too inept to properly link our website :)

Well noted ZenPagan. If The Bloody Hand needs to conatact Pax Aeturnum, I will pass on to the Higher Ups, that you are the current PoC.

The Golden Flask uses Enjin's guild site framework. It has a lot of things built for specifically for dealing with MMO guilds and can link multiple games. We've got one of the more advanced plans which includes a 10 person Mumble server as well as some other features, but there is a free plan which should be able to get any group up and running with fairly minimal effort.

There's a couple like that scattered across the internet if you look around.

Oh, and drop in for a pint! The fourth one is on me. ;)
