Can you suggest a better name (preferably one word) for a new investigator archetype than "clockwork savant"?

What types of creatures would you have inhabit an ancient city buried in 100 million year-old rock strata?

This. It's rebuilt version of the tinkerer alchemist but for investigators. Stuff in red still needs reworking/rewording.

I'm not 100% set on the new names ("daedalos" was "clockwork savant", "agalma" was "bonded clockwork", "ballistoli" was "boltthrower") or the power-level of the archetype (may be a bit high, but investigators are often somewhat underpowered especially at lower levels).

The Google DOC is set for comments/questions/suggestions/nitpicks if you have any. (Anyone else here can comment too, if they'd like.)

With only 14 days until PF1 officially ends, what are your current feelings on Table Top RPG gaming?

Right now due to all of those podcasts of D&D games the games are appealing to the causal gamer...so games right now are very simple and conservative.

But these things tend to be cyclical in nature as people jump to the new trendy thing...the more dedicated players will want games with more depth.

So anymore questions for me?

Silver Crusade

They've been doing fiction for the blogs leading up to 2e showing off the new areas. We've had the writers from the Tales line doing them, they're really good :3

Yeah I liked the one for Cheliax region.

Also question: Do you ever feel pressured to do something you don't want to do but have to because you're a paladin and thus can't just say no?

RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32

You find yourself trapped in the Star Trek (TOS) Universe!

What do you do?

Um...not really when I play a paladin following the code is just who the character is.

I figured that the first thing you would do would be to take advantage of their peerless medical technology for your reassignment procedure. :)

It is in my pile of to be read books...so not yet. Let me know what you think about it...

I will!

Inheritance (the web fiction prequel) was really good :3

Selene,

That was more of a 'real life thing" because I got kind of pressured into going on a date...that I hoped wasn't a date...and would have been a bad date IF I had tried to do it that way...

But that's just me.

So my question for you is: Who is better at being Fred Rogers than Fred Rogers?

Well...no one...but the closest would be Tom Hanks

Millennium Falcon...it is more like a home...smaller crew...etc.

Though my heart belongs on Serenity...,

As it should!

There was a good reason that I didn't include that option (namely that it would always win).

Do you have either the Serenity RPG or the Firefly RPG?

I have Serenity...which was disappointing:(

Though I have heard Firefly is much better....I have not picked it up yet.

It left out things like upgrading your ship...and the starship build rules made no sense if you tried to build the sample ships they had...

Things like that was thru out the book...

Well this poses a real conundrum... is any other living actor capable of embodying the goofy wholesome totality of Tom Hanks-ness in the inevitable future filmed biography of actual Tom Hanks?

I think they presumed that - like the heroes of the series - the PCs would be perpetually poor, so upgrading wasn't going to be likely. Not that Starfinder's Starship rules make more sense.

Interestingly, the Firefly RPG abstracts the ship so it functions (rules wise) like a colossal character - but with specialized traits/skills. Likewise, in the Firefly RPG money itself is abstracted, which can create its own issues.

Why yes, I have both games.

My wife and I disagree about which version is better. :)

I am figuring we will have to clone him when that happens...
