Which AP would be best suited to a 'Nemesis Party'?

Pathfinder Adventure Path General Discussion

I posted a thread discussing the possibility of a nemesis party for my PC's (here), but its occurred to me that there might be an AP out there that would be ideal for the inclusion of something like that... or if not ideal then certainly better suited than others.

I own Second Darkness, Legacy of Fire, Skull and Shackles (which we've already played through), Shattered Star and through subscription am currently assembling Reign of Winter. Of those I could see Second Darkness and Legacy of Fire as possibilities, though Shattered Star seems like it might be the best fit at first glance... which AP's don't I own yet should I consider for something like this? Ideally it would require the least amount of re-write though I'm certainly not adverse to customizing the campaign as needed.

You already own Shattered Star, which is a good fit in my opinion. My other guess would be Serpent's Skull, which uses the idea of rival factions at its core. You may want to look that way.

I'd second Shattered Star.
1) You already own it.
2)There is some decent wiggle room in the over-arching meta plot that could allow for insertion/deletion of various [nouns] without taking a bat to the skull of the overall AP.
3)It might even be a savvy way to maintain the Pathfinder angle if your PCs aren't into being involved with that organization. The rival group could be a Pathfinder crew acting as the PCs' Belloq.

However, my line of suggestion isn't based on a thorough read of the AP. So, I apologize in advance if I missed any fun-blocking idea killers lurking within the pages of Shattered Star that would puppy-coffin any of the above :-)

I'd second Serpent Skull if you're willing to look at an AP you don't own yet. A rival group would really help to drive the slow portions of that AP (in books 2 and 3).

especially since the whole plot is centered around staying ahead of the competition (or catching up as the case may be).

Shattered Star works very well. I think Skull and Shackles does too (nothing more complicated than a competing pirate crew

Yeah, we played through Skull n' Shackles already though. I'm going to give Shattered Star a long hard look, but the suggestions of Serpent Skull has me intrigued (and might serve as a much needed excuse to buy a new AP)...

+1

However, if the players are good with the Pathfinder Angle, then the Society has a build in Nemesis - The Aspis Consortium. (Inner Sea World Guide, p. 262)
