Does anyone know of a good PDF app for Windows 8 that actually allows you to fill in character sheets?

Adobe Reader 11 has some pretty awful reviews, so I haven't tried it yet, and the reader that comes with Windows 8 isn't great. Pretty, but doesn't actually do much. Certainly can't fill forms.

There's one called Nitro that I tried, but the interface is really obtrusive and it freaks out if you try to write a character sheet and does all the calculations wrong.

Is Adobe 11 really that bad? Any other suggestions?

I generally use Foxit Reader. It's small compact and tends to be faster than Adobe Reader. I have used it on free release of Windows 8 on a desktop last year but I can't say for sure how it will work now or how it will work on tablet or other strange devices running Windows 8.

EDIT: Also, I wasn't using fillable pdfs.

Fox-It is my default non-Adobe reader, but Adobe Reader XI works fine for me. All the bad reviews I've seen for it are from people still running Windows XP. For free alternatives, I've used most of these to great effect for various needs, but haven't tried them all for form-fillable sheets.
