Gen Con Roommate?

Hello,

So I'm going to Gen Con this year and before I start shelling out for a hotel reservation I was wondering if anyone was looking for someone to split a room with.

I'll be gming every single slot for PFS so I'd prefer to get someplace relatively close, although the hotels around the airport are an option for me if the taxis run that late.

I am staying about 6 miles away from the con and have a 2nd bed (double) currently free. I have transport and am looking to be there the whole time (might take the last morning off, but would be willing to drive you so you're not late).

Down side is I'm driving from Denver, so will likely not arrive until midnight as Wednesday turns to Thursday. Unless I leave a day early, in which case 24 hours before that. That's seeming more likely as time goes on. Damn 2 hour time difference...

Anyway, it's on the table for your consideration.

Sior I would love to take you up on that offer. I wasn't planning on flying until later in the day and do not mind killing a day.

Actually if you would like a travel buddy I could look into the possibility of flying to Colorado instead. I have family that lives in Monument who would love to see me for a few days.

After I posted that, I was thinking of possibly leaving later Tuesday, staying the night on the way, and get to Indianapolis Wednesday at a sane hour. It's a 16 hour drive, losing 2 hours due to time zones, so if I left at 6am Wednesday, I'd arrive at midnight that night. But still deciding on that point.

If you'd like to do that, I'd be more than happy to have some company. Transport is nothing special, a Nissan hatchback with room for luggage and any special GMing stuff we may need (map tubes, books, chargers, 3-D map setups if that's your thing, etc etc.)

Sounds great, we can also drive in shifts that way. Although I may be able to use family connections to score us a place to stay in Kansas City on Tuesday.

Indeed! It is an automatic transmission, if that matters any (I know people who drive auto but not stick and some that drive stick but not auto...). Kansas City sounds like a perfect stop, just about half way point. Means we could actually relax a little before the crazy weekend. I'm scheduled to GM 7 slots as opposed to your 10, so will take what relaxation I can, haha.
