Got my Bones today. I've just finished counting them out (missing Valeros' bow and got extra NOVA).

It is a fantastic deal and I was grinning and humming along happily to my stereo as I went through them all.

If the communications had been better then I would call it the perfect kickstarter.

As it is this still feels very exciting: I'm going to have to buy more paint!

Mine arrived in country on Thurs 25th, still waiting here on the 30th... far out shipping guys!

Just picked up our package earlier today. Tomorrow three or four of us will gather to have an unboxing "party" and do a rough inventory with lots of ooohs and ahhhs I'm sure. :-)

Question:
Has anyone from Europe experienced any egregious missing/wrong parts (it seems some people have received e.g. two left Kaladrax legs) and have you contacted Reaper about it?

Not Eu, but Australia, and so far all appears to be in order.

Seriously shifty? Haven't gotten jack squat on my end.

Some of the second class international backers are getting lucky when Reaper takes a break from working on the retailer's Undertaker shipments is all.

COUNT EVERY MINI! I was missing two large minis and got an extra Nova pack of 4 minis. I'm in the USA and got my order one month ago. I had about 350 minis.

Actually, all the international boxes are packed and ready to ship. They're waiting on a second USPS truck, according to the latest info.

So direct your snarky ire at the USPS instead.

Have you got a source for that? The emails people who inquire directly to Reaper have been reporting in the Kickstarter comments say they're hoping to be finished with ROW by, in the latest ones, 2nd to 3rd full week of August. Last week they were saying the 2nd week, and before that it was the end of this week. If there's been an announcement that packing is done, it certainly hasn't made it to the Kickstarter page, and there haven't been any comments about it in the discussion thread on the Reaper forums either.

In the absence of news, let alone any believable explanation for the delay from Reaper, I think I'm still being pretty mild at this point. And that Reaper is the valid target of my snark.

I emailed Reaper, not gor a date, just a general staus update on my order. Got a very fast and polite update advising while some Aussie orders have gone out mine was with the other Int'l orders. I'm ok with that and happy with the update I got once I emailed Reaper.

Liberty's Edge

Mine arrived last Thursday, had an unboxing party on Saturday.

Cthulhu is huge. And simply perfect.

Sweet, will be worth it when it arrives mate. Try not to get upset by the amount of painting you have to do though...

I have not heard from Reaper yet. Still waiting for an order notification, but I don't mind waiting. I accept that they want to get all of the orders done as soon as they possibly can, and where I have a slight pang of need, they are burning with a desire to just. finish. shipping. and get back to their regular business.

If they run another bones kickstarter, I will put a couple of hundred down on that one too, even if it does take more than a year to get to me. They get molds. They thank us by using them. All is working as intended.

Interesting that Reaper have posted a bunch of self-justifying stuff which tells us nothing on the Kickstarter comments and then locked the thread about it on their own boards.

The we-think-our-customers-should-shut-up-and-be-grateful approach to Customer Service is a real shocker.

When comparing it to the CS at Paizo or the quality of communication from the Frog God KickStarter, Reaper look well below industry standard on communications.

My own experience of individual communications with Reaper have been excellent, with top-notch customer service. They really need to transfer this to their mass communications.

It seems like they're just tuning customers out now: sad.

Seems as Reaper gets into turtle mode. Anytime things start to go wrong or are delayed further, they immediately pull their head in and stop communicating. This of course doesn't come across well to the customers, because they see things are not on track and Reaper is no longer communicating, which just adds to the stress. What might have been just another disappointing delay begins to feel like people aren't going to get their stuff. Then you have Reaper coming out and saying, "Well you know we don't actually have to give you anything and there is nothing you could do about it ... but we are going to give you stuff ... eventually." That doesn't help the growing frustration due to no delivery no communication as to why delivery isn't happening and when it might change.

I'd have asked for my money back by now if one of their posts hadn't said they weren't going to give refunds this close to them finishing. Whenever that is going to be. Nice of them to give warning of the cutoff.

When did they close the thread? They may have had to because they are going to Gencon and they may not be able to moderate it or respond to anyone while there.

Here is the thread they locked.

I don't think that is the reason, as they haven't been responding to anything anyway.

I have to admit, considering the thread just in terms of forum moderation, it being locked wasn't a surprise. And even, looking at the thread itself in terms of only a moderator's viewpoint, I'm not sure locking it was a mistake. But that's only taking it as a single thread and ignoring the reasons it exists.

In terms of the wider picture of customer relations under the current circumstances though, it's giving at least some people the impression that even justified complaints aren't allowed at Reaper. And that's probably getting people even angrier. Another own goal for Reaper's PR I guess. IMO it'd have been better left open so people have somewhere 'official' to vent their opinions.

That thread has multiple comments from reaper, followed by people jumping down their throats with accusations that they are lieing and random speculation about the "real" reason things are late. They locked it down because it was a useless b##&* fest of people who don't actually want to hear the answers.

Well that and people b*$@!ing that Reaper wasn't actually answering the questions they were asking.

Two of my friends, who were also in on our group pledge, made separate pledges with even more add-ons than the group pledge and they received their shipping emails today.

Patrik, the first box we got took about a week before arriving here in Denmark, so it shouldn't take that long to get to Sweden either. :-)

I hope you're right. The last package I ordered from Reaper took about 1 month to get here. Hope this one is faster :)

Just got my notice... Huzzah.

Reaper wasn't at Gen Con

Just an FYI, the USPS, when they take in an international parcel, gives it to customs within 2 days. If you wish to be snarky, blame customs, cause they certainly take their sweet time with stuff.

Still waiting...

Got the undertaker part, not the vampire and the add-ons though!

Hey, Caineach,

I'm interested to know, do you think Reaper's communications could have been improved?

And, if so, what might they have done better?

Or, if not, why do you think it is that so many other people have been unhappy with Reaper's communications?

Could Reaper's communications have been better? Yes, just keeping Bryan's posts to one place (their FB page or a separate thread on their forums would have been best) would have gone a long way (the actual KS updates had to go through several people/committee).
Has it been as bad as some have suggested and totally overreacted to? No.
Will they learn from this? Well, duh!

They're done!
They've shipped the last KS consumer package. Everyone should have received a shipping notice now.

Also: SQUIRREL!
