Hey Jason,
With the announcement of Pathfinder Unchained I am kinda of interested in it...but as a person who loves the backward compatibility and in general hate the 'OP and UP Crowd' on this forum...as people who probably play something once and had a bad experience with it...anyway I guess my question here is...
What in your view needs to be adjusted for...
Rogue?
Monk?
Summoner?
Barbarian?

Does a character who's a member of a particular organization NEED to have levels in the Prestige Class associated with it, or can they get away with it through roleplay, like, say, a cleric of Iomedae who wants to be a Knight of Ozem but doesn't take levels in the actual Knight of Ozem prestige class because they don't want to lose spellcasting progression, or a Pathfinder that doesn't take levels in the Pathfinder Chronicler, Delver, Field Agent or Savant prestige classes because they're interested in a different prestige class like Arcane Archer or something?
It just feels to me like the minute an organization gets an official Prestige Class for it, you can't be a REAL member of that organization in-game without taking levels in it, that without the Prestige Class to PROVE you're in the organization, all you have is your say-so, and that negates the idea that it takes effort to join these organizations.

1) Will there ever be a "Design a Class" contest?
2) Why are young Characters limited to NPC classes, it's kinda contrary to the examples given in Ultimate Campaign?
3) intermediary classes (between NPC and PC classes in effectiveness/power), is this a good/interesting idea?
4) Full BaB Divine class that work more like the Cleric than the Paladin?
5) Noble class(es) when?
1. Nope
2. Different systems developed at different times. I think you could play it either way.3. Probably not. Best to keep it simple.
4. We tried it with the Warpriest, but it was too good.
5. See #3.

Hello!
1. what happens if someone prevents you from drinking?
2. what pets do you own/want to own?
3. what happens if someone offered you homeade cookies?
1. Bad things...
2. None at the moment, although I kinda wish I could have a cat. Allergies prevent that unless I want to spend a lot on a low allergen breed.3. Im trying to cut back. Im failing.. but I do try.

Have you ever tried Akvavit (also known as Aquavit)?
If yes, any favorites?
If no, you should try at least these:From Norway: ”Løitens Export Aquavit and ”Lysholms Linie Aquavit”
From Denmark: “Röd Aalborg” and “Aalborg Jubilæums Akvavit”
From Sweden: “O. P. Anderson (also known as: OP Andersson)”; “Herrgårds Aquavit”; “Skåne Akvavit”; “Gammal Norrlands Akvavit” and “Östgöta Sädes Brännvin (more known as Östgöta Sädes)”
I don’t know if you can find it in the US, but in Sweden there is a set of 10 small bottles called “Svenska nubbar”. It contains the following brands: O.P. Anderson, Skåne Akvavit, Gammal Norrlands Akvavit, Hallands Fläder, Herrgårds Aquavit, Läckö Slottsaquavit, Örtagårds Brännvin, Östgöta Sädes Brännvin, Rånäs Brännvin och Bäska Droppar.
I’m not sure Bäska Droppar counts as an Akvavit, but it is worth trying, although it is very bitter (flavored with wormwood). There is a Danish bitter called ”Gammel Dansk” that you also should try.
There was a bar near me that carried a large variety of Aquavit and I tried a number of them. Alas, for the life of me, I cannot remember any of there names, but I will keep these suggestions in mind should I find myself facing a selection again.

1)What are your top 5 favorite sorcerer bloodlines?
2)What are your top 5 favorite cleric domains?
3)Have you ever played a monster as a player character?
1. Infernal (its what I am currently playing), draconic, elemental, destined, and aberrant. You can tell some fun stories with each.
2. Cayden Cailean's
3. Not in a while. I played a goblin for a bit and a kobold. I find the shorties to be entertaining.

Is Jason still replying to this thread? I was curious about what classes he designed (or co-designed) for both PF and D&D 3.5.
IIRC, he co-designed Factotum (which I love) and the PF Alchemist (which is also really cool).
For Pathfinder, I have had my hands in every class. Most of them I designed, some I was a co-designer.
As for 3.5, Factotum was the only one I ever created. I did make a number of Prestige Classes and other rules elements for Dragon, Dungeon, and a number of hardcovers.

Although its up to your GM, you can totally be a member of an organization without taking levels in a particular class or prestige class. I could see there being an org where that is not the case, but it would be pretty rare.

Any chance that we'll be seeing more feats that make multiclassing less painful, such as Shaping Focus, Shapeshifting Hunter, Monastic Legacy, or Horse Master?

Not sure yet, I have yet to see my schedule for the show. I suspect I will be doing a panel on Pathfinder plus an assortment of others depending on the needs of the show.

So the new version of D&D is closer in spirit to previous editions of the game than 4th Edition / Essentials has been. What do you see as the big distinguishing features of the Paizo / Pathfinder brand, that sets the golem apart from D&D?
What are you, as a fan, looking forward to seeing in the new D&D system?

4) Gestalt Warrior and Adept, then go from there.
5) Has potential, the problem would probably be "where to start?"

I know this is a non-rules forum but there is a thought I would like to ask, since Divine magic focuses on Wisdom and Charisma, and Arcane focuses of Intellegence and Charisma, will Psionc magic focus on Wisdom and Intelligence?

In the Advanced Class Guide, the Brawler recieves proficiency with all simple weapons, close fighter weapons...and the handaxe and short sword.
Yet in Brawler's Flurry, it states that only unarmed strikes, close fighter weapons and monk weapons qualify to be used during it, none of which include the handaxe and short sword.
Long story short, why even have these proficiencies in there if they don't work with the other class features at all? This was something I asked about back during the playtest and it looks like the problem still hasn't been fixed.

Because not all class features are required to work with every other class feature that a class has.
For example, the crossbow-wielding ranger in the Core Rulebook had the choice of "archery style" or "two-weapon combat," even though many feats in each of those styles aren't usable with crossbows.
Likewise, monks are proficient in club, crossbow (light or heavy), dagger, handaxe, javelin, kama, nunchaku, quarterstaff, sai, shortspear, short sword, shuriken, siangham, sling, and spear. However, a monk "cannot use any weapon other than an unarmed strike or a special monk weapon as part of a flurry of blows." Which means that monks are proficient in the following unflurryable weapons: club, crossbow (light or heavy), dagger, handaxe, javelin, shortspear, short sword, sling, and spear. The monk can't flurry with all of his default proficient weapons. Neither can the brawler.

I, for once, Do not see the problem with it. it allow the monk to use the other weaposn in case of emergency, tohave a back up weapon, or to use the spear to trheat at 10 ft and then flurry of kicks if the enemy come close.
Spear doesn't have reach, longspear does. Longspear > spear > shortspear.
