Goblin build

Hello all. This is like my 5th post and everyone has been helpful in the past so thought I would post my quandry.

I am starting a new campaign where one of my first 2 levels has to be bard then I can switch to whatever I want.

For someone reason I am drawn to Goblins and am wondering if anyone can point me to a build that has Goblin as a race, 1 level of bard and 1 of the following classes: Samurai, Alchemist, Oracle, Inquisitor, Barbarian or Witch.

Thanks in advance.

Grand Lodge

Dawnflower Dervish Bard archetype.

What is allowed?

What is the point-buy?

Goblins have rockin' stealth bonuses and rockin' dex modifiers. Charisma and Intelligence, not so much.

I'd suggest you look into what blackbloodtroll is on about; build a sword-fighting bard who can stealth when needed. Inquisitor will add to that, or Barbarian for some nasty stopping power.

Roll With It and max ranks in Acrobatics. Come on, you KNOW you want to. ^_^

Sorry for the delay, easter weekend and all. My group is old school ... we still roll dice for stats.

We use the 4d6 keep the 3 highest and reroll all 1's. This makes for some high attributes.

I think I have like a 93 aggregate. We use all the books as reference material along with the modules or adventures.

Would a wep finesse barb work well? I mean I could go down the TWF. I was looking at the samurai and cavalier with their mounts, that could be cool if I got the GM to let me ride a worg for flavor.

If Barbarian is in your sights, then the Urban Barbarian is your choice.

By the way, Goblins have no penalty to intelligence.

The Dervish Dance feat, granted for free by the Dawnflower Dervish archetype, will be a great boon.

Using your dexterity for attacks and damage, will make you strong.

Is the Bard's main stat cha ?

Grand Lodge

Not necessarily.

Dawnflower Dervish is a self-buffing archetype.

No need for high charisma.

If multiclassing, then even less so.

Basically, 10 + highest spell level available is all you need.

I was just going to say you don't have to have a high cha because you'll only cast level one spells. and then you'll be multi classing to something else. So in a nut shell blackbloodtroll beat me to it. Consider my thunder stolen :)

Grand Lodge

You also won't need that high of a Perform, and there are ways to pump it, if needed.

We will be starting at 2nd level so I could go bard with the 1st level and take "Dervish of Dawn" archetype which would give me Dervish dance feat.

Then take Weapon finesse as a feat. 2nd level could be Samurai and I could go Wakashizi and eventually dual weild them.

I looked at the "Sword Saint" but the flavor of being mounted, having a 22 dex out of the box and being able to use mounted archery occasionally sounds cool.

-Dervish dance requires a scimitar
-Dervish dance requires no weapon held in the other hand: IE no dual-wielding and using Dervish Dance at the same time.

Poop, I rememered that a min ago, was helping the kids find easter eggs and was distracted earlier.

I could ask for GM approval. Will revisit this after I ask what classes the other 4 will be taking then I will know if I need to be melee or not.

I'd suggest that house-ruling the latter would be a little overpowered; it'd be rolling Double Slice as well as dex-for-damage into a single feat.

But I'd suggest the GM would be happy to house-rule making the feat apply to any weapon; one does get tired of the curved buggers.

I think you should go mad bomber. I have this pretty cool picture in my mind's eye of a goblin bomber. Plus who doesn't like the idea of blowing "stuff" up :)

Grand Lodge

If you really wanted to two-weapon fight, then you could grab some Agile Armor Spikes.

Really, you could just stick with the Bard.

Nab Arcane Strike, and kick some butt.

Alright, since my last class was a Dervish dance Magus I've decided to go a different route.

I am wondering if this build is viable? and also if the Alchemist class is any fun?

Goblin: Daredevil archetype Bard/Fire Bomber Alchemist.
Stats: Str:12, Int:18, Wis:12, Dex:22, Con:16 and Chs:12.
Swap out "Over Sized Ears" for "Skilled".
Traits: Reactionary and Ugly Swine.

I don't need to go into all the spells, was thinking of taking TWF so I could throw an extra bomb if I wanted.

I have only mapped out the first 2 levels, if someone knows of a pre-existing similar build would love to have the link.

Thanks.
