PDF and subscription have been available for a while now via gygax magazine. Picked it up a few weeks ago. Enjoy!

Silver Crusade

Print is (and PDF download comes free with as I understand) but PDF subscription is not as yet available anywhere. Sale of PDF by itself is currently only available her on Paizo and DriveThruRPG.

This looks good and should make a fine replacement for my Kobold Quarterly subscription. That said, can anyone give me a page count of issue #1? Is this full color or black and white - and is it the same between PDF and print? KQ used to have a lot of B&W print pages but generally the PDF was full color. Thanks.

Liberty's Edge

Really interested to read some reviews and see what people think of the first issue.

I'm also anxious to hear what folks think of the Scaling combat feats for Pathfinder article :)

Wow, I didn´t even know KQ folded. Sad to hear, even though I did not buy it for several issues.
Now this looks interesting. Some of the authors names read like a who is who of A(ncient)D&D :-) I guess I got to buy the pdf, the cover alone is pure nostalgia.

The pdf is 68 pages, with roughly 45 pages of gaming content and four pages of comics. (the 45 pages depend on how to count. If you subtract illustrations to the articles and ads that don´t fill a full page, I guess you will end up at more like 35 pages of text or so, including the TOC). The ads are full-color for the most part, the illustrations are b/w, and the comics full-color.

Just saw that the Premier issue of Gygax magazine was the #1 best-seller on both Top Ten Non-Paizo Products list this week ... Top Ten Print and Top Ten PDF lists.

Congrats Gygax magazine!

Excellent magazine. I bought off the TSR website dead tree as a preorder and received the PDF as well. The only question I'm mulling over now is subscription from TSR directly vs. Print / PDF bundle from Paizo. For those of you who miss Kobold Quarterly, Wolfgang Baur has his own little corner: "the Kobold's Cavern". Loved the issue, and yes Marc Radle's "Scaling combat feats for Pathfinder" is very well done :)

Thank you sir! :)

Still no reviews here on Paizo yet, but here are a couple recent reviews of the premier issue:

Quick FYI - Gygax Magazine has an updated, and MUCH improved web site. Well worth popping over for a look:

I really need to buy this. Didn't even know KQ went down, but it looks like we're getting an excellent replacement.

I subscribed last month and have the PDF but my first print issue has yet to arrive despite supposedly being shipped back around 4/06-07. Gave it until last week and then sent an email to TSR. Still waiting to hear back from their customer service, hopefully today. Lost by the postal service?

From looking through my PDF I really like the magazine so far. Can't wait for my dead tree version.

Reviewed first on Endzeitgeist.com, then submitted to GMS magazine and posted here as well as on OBS. Cheers!

HELP? I ordered #1 and got #2 - anybody know why and how I can be sure that when I purchase it I will get #1? Is it out of print?

Liberty's Edge

You *definitely* want to get your hands on issue #1 - there is an excellent article about Scaling Combat Feats for Pathfinder in it! ;)
