Was the destruction of the Death Star an inside job?.

Best use of the truestrike spell EVER.

Also, this makes a SCARY amount of sense, unlike the truther videos...

The use of Furious Angels as the theme makes it all the better.

I posted that video on my Facebook page yesterday (filched from Mike Selinker)... when it was only at 150 views. A day later and it's at 16.5k+!

That's viral, baby.

Two weeks I'll bet it hits 100K.

The proton torpedoes did enter the Death Star through the exhaust port and detonate within, so technically it was an inside job.

Not really. The video assumes that Vader knew that Leia was his daughter from the beginning (which he doesn't), and that he owns a construction company (not impossible, but he strikes me as someone who would not be interested in stuff like that). Of course, getting facts wrong or making stuff up is standard modus operandi for conspiracy theorists.

Liberty's Edge

I was geekily outraged by the repeated mispronunciation of HRH Leia's adopted home world.

Otherwise, quite awesome.

Other than Rebel Propoganda, how do you know Anakin Skywalker didn't know Leia was his daughter?

Day 3: 181k views

I had a feeling I was lowballing it when I guessed this video would reach 100k views within 2 weeks, but I didn't expect this kind of growth. Happy to see so much hard work put into something so silly yield a good result for the filmmakers.

And how would you know that? Thats awfully convenient that in an empire spanning of 100 trillion sentient beings the person you capture and bring into the command center just happens to be your daughter... by coincidence?

He was in charge of building the thing. I'm sure it was necessary for him to aquire several construction companies to expedite things.

Yes, but this actually makes MORE sense than what "really" happened.

I watched the movies?

REBEL PROPOGANDA

Yes, they tell similar lies about the Glorious People's Revolution in Galt!

Down with the Rebel Alliance!

All hail Lord Vader!

Actually he wasn't. The Death Star was Grand Moff Tarkin's project. Vader was only visiting as the Emperor's representative.

BNW's talking about the second one.

Y'know, people keep saying that this "Luke Skywalker" is the so-called son of Darth Vader, but I won't believe it until I see some proof. Where's the birth certificate Luke!?!

Pretty sure that with the data given to us in AoTC and RoTS that we can now say the original Death Star in Movieverse is a Dooku/Palpatine project. ExpU and ExtU it may still be a Tarkin thing, but "The Weapon" was clearly almost completely designed by chapter 2.

Which, I say to you Truthers: Just proves that it couldn't have been an inside job - Vader didn't even KNOW about the Death Star when it was being planned and initially constructed. Your timeline is invalid!

For people that think they have all the answers, they're sure wrong about some key points:

  • The exhaust port was two meters in diameter, not two feet.
  • Vader was not in command; Gran Moff Tarkin was.
  • I'm pretty sure that rebel pilot they showed isn't Wedge Antilles.

*snort* 'Wedge Antilles' total fictional name. That was a false name adopted by Nameless Stormtrooper #16 (seen here) hired by Vader to keep tabs on his son. Interesting factoid, the only picture we have of #16 without armor or prosthetic enhancements is this, taken during his youth.

The real Wedlu 'Wedge' Antilles retired in Boca in 2512.
