Hey all!

Game Links in Fowlerville, Michigan is proud to announce our first-ever Linkscon running May 17th-19th.

Event summary on the Paizo calendar

We are focusing on new players this time around and will be spotlighting Thornkeep for supplementary content; whether you are brand-new to Pathfinder Societies or someone looking to have a great time and grab some quick levels for your character, this is the place to be!

We have our first events Friday night at 7pm, and then multiple tables running Saturday and Sunday at 8am, 1pm, and 7pm. There is no door charge, but a $2 fee per slot played is required - $1 of that goes into store credit for you, and the $1 goes into your DM's store credit.

We will have a warhorn signup available shortly. Feel free to get ahold of me (reply to this thread or via PM if you prefer) if you have any questions, and I look forward to seeing you there!

Spoiler:
We will have homemade cookies and muffins....

Shadow Lodge 4/5 *** Venture-Captain, Michigan—Mt. Pleasant

I still think you should have called it Fowlervillapalooza... ;)

Looking forward to playing an running at this con. :)

As promised......

THE WARHORNS! ALL OF THEM!

You know, for signing up and stuff.

Slots are $2/ person; warhorn seems a bit goofy on the setup. Bring your receipt when you arrive and we'll sort it out from there.

------------------------
Eric: we're very excited to be doing this, and we're very much looking forward to some Venture-Lieutenant wisdom in the store :) (and I thought about Fowlervillapalooza... and then I typed it out, and realized I never wanted to do that again :p )

And it should have been FowlervillapaloozaCON.

Just a bump to say come on MI people, this should be great, let's make it an annual thing.

This is an area that needs all of our support to make PFS happen.

You're right TFM, FowlervillapaloozaCON would have been much much better... ;D

So it's been awhile since I've posted an update here, but here's the deal:

Linkscon now has *28* tables of PFS goodness!

We've added a few more tables of the Thornkeep adventures, along with some of the newer PFS adventures as well. We're pumped to be offering space for the miniconvention and we're looking forward to seeing you all May 17th-19th!

Here's a link to the Paizo event tracker for Linkscon

And more importantly, be sure to sign up on Warhorn!

Can't wait for FowlervillapaloozaCON 1! ;D (Never did get that flyer you said you'd send...)

Silver Crusade 5/5

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Next year it should be FowlervillapaloozaCONamania!

Shadow Lodge 4/5 *** Venture-Captain, Michigan—Mt. Pleasant

Yeah, but it needs more than one exclamation point then. At least 4...

FowlervillapaloozaCONamania!!!!

Yeah, now we're talking...

Less than a week away! We're up to 30 tables now. We've started receiving our prize support, and its looking to be a fun and exciting weekend. :D

Dark Archive 4/5

Eric's got this right on the head - we're less than a week away, and we've made some updates to the event:

30 tables!
hot dogs & chips available for lunch on Saturday/ Sunday
in-store raffles & door prizes
fresh-baked cookies, cupcakes, and rice krispy treats

Seats have been filling pretty quickly, and we're expecting it to be one heck of an experience for everyone in attendance :)

Dark Archive 4/5

Linkscon is upon us! We're starting gently tonight (2-3 tables), but ripping into it full speed Saturday and Sunday!

Hope to see everyone there!

Holy crap.

30 tables of PFS. 2 days (with a pair of tables that we wrestled away from the FNM players).

We started the Linkscon dream with a desire to run 15 tables, and only expecting to run 10-11 of those. We knew something was up when our first table to fill up was a 7pm-midnight slot on Sunday.

This event grew beyond our wildest expectations. We met a lot of new people; we introduced a number of new people to PFS; we reconnected with a lot of friendly faces that many of us only see at "big 'cons" like GenCon, Winter Fantasy, and Origins.

Folks - I cannot fully express how pleased I am of everyone that showed up. We had some of the best players that I've ever met, some of the best DMs that I've had the pleasure of working with, and somehow we managed to have everyone walk out the door with a smile on their face.

We couldn't have done it without you. *I* couldn't have done it without you.

Sincerely, humbly: you're all rockstars, and I'm grateful that you chose to give your time to our dream event.

Thank you!

Alan,

Thanks for putting this on. I only played 2 slots. The players and both of my judges were solid and fun. This counted as my slot zero for my running of the same two mods on memorial day. It was also a nice day which made the ride out there about as good a cruise as any. I'd happily make that trip again.

Alan,
We didnt accomplish the mission of getting Jen to Go-go Dance. We shall need a second con to accomplish this, make it happen.

Liberty's Edge 4/5

did DougDoug make an appearance?

Dark Archive 4/5

Mike - I don't know a whole lot of people from the message boards here; I'd much rather meet people in person or at least visit their venue of choice (plus, to be honest, I have a hard time remember avatar names)

Not sure who DougDoug is... so maybe? heh

We had a good number of folks in attendance over the weekend. I'll actually be posting tables/ # of players/ # of seats later tonight, in fact :)

Dark Archive 4/5

Doug didn't show, no.

It was interesting to see a lot of Carp people out once again.

Alan, you really should do a con out there every two months. I'd show up and (even judge!) play, as well as help support you.

That is, as long as you keep me neck deep in Ice.

Dark Archive 4/5

Ice?

Do you mean.... Natty Ice? I think one of our regulars left a case in the fridge from a previous overnight game.

If so.... you work cheap, sir, and we may be able to negotiate this deal...

Dark Archive 4/5

Sparkling Ice! Orange Mangoooo!

Dark Archive 4/5

And here I thought you might be turning into a Dude-Bro.

Sparkling Ice is a definite stock item for us. The new store warhorn is live, and will be seeing more information in the next few days as I get all our Adventure Paths set up in the system (at least count, we had Reign of Winter, Rise of the Runelords, Shattered Star, Skull & Shackles, Kingmaker, and Jade Regent running, not to mention PFS, homebrew, and other game systems).

http://warhorn.net/gamelinks

I don't think we can run a show like this every 2 months quite yet, but we'll see what the future holds.
