Weapon Master for Natural Attacks?

Rules Questions

Scarab Sages

With the Fighter Archetype, Weapon Master, you ahve to select a type of weapon to apply the bonuses to. I was wondering if you can apply natural attacks to the bonus.

I understand that the 2nd level bonus would not apply, since the natural attacks are not "wielded". However, would the other features of the Weapon Master can be applied to the natural attacks?

I do not know of any reason you cant choose unarmed, and the "Weapon Guard" ability would still help if someone is targeting your "unarmed strikes" so you no longer can have greasy hands!

RAW it looks to work from skimming the fighter weapon groups and archtype.

Yep you can the tricky part is getting a nice array of natural attacks.

Most of the good polymorph spells are target "you" spells. Thus the wizard is limited with what he can transform you into.

half orc ranger 2 with aspect of the beast and toothy, you now have claw claw bite.

The weapon master archetype only applies its bonuses to a single kind of weapon (as opposed to a weapon group). For instance, if you apply it to longswords, then you don't get any bonuses for shortswords or bastard swords.

So while you can choose natural weapons, you would have to choose one specific kind, such as claws, to apply the bonuses to.

Okay... so then it's long feathers. The fluff of the race doesn't invalidate the mechanics of the game. If there was something in the race or class saying something to the effect of 'they can't do it' it would be another story. That isn't the case.

Weapon master would get his bonuses only to one specific kind of natural weapons. Like claws or bite or hair but not all of them.
