Aside from needing to replace the roof and water heater eventually due to age, the inspection didn't reveal any major problems.

The owner's son and his wife were there for the inspection, and they are just the nicest people. They took us around and showed us everything, and answered all of our questions. They gave us their card with personal information in case we had any other questions.
We're just really happy and relieved.
I really need to try and get some sleep. Charla is off this week, so that means Dorothy and I have to babysit Demme mostly by ourselves. I actually do most of the babysitting since Dorothy is usually busy helping customers open accounts or whatever.
That girl can't follow directions out of a paper sack. It's like they don't even teach critical thinking anymore. She doesn't want to listen and then when she does ask for help, she gives a total attitude when I try to help her.
She is just super irritating, and I'm getting sick of having Christmas shoved down my throat.
Oh yeah, the stupid road crew is like working on the freeway right outside our apartments, and they got those heavy duty like huge jackhammer things going that make our whole place shake and it's loud as hell.
This is ridiculous. When are we supposed to sleep?
Ugh that sucks. In residential areas they should be doing that in the middle of the day.

I guess there's too much traffic for that? But they shouldn't be allowed to do that stuff after 10 at night.
I am so happy that in a few months we won't be here anymore.
Okay, we really don't know what to do about Dixie. She's started shaking all the time, and she's barely eating or drinking anything.
I don't know if it's all the stress we've been under or what, but we don't have the money to take her to a vet, and I can't get her an animal friend while we're still in the apartment.
If she keeps it up though, we probably won't have to worry about it.
I will never let someone trick me into taking another animal out ofc pity though.
Next time we get a pet, it will be something we want, not something that's shoved off onto us.
Sorry. Hope her condition improves soon.

Henry actually fell asleep before all the really loud crap started. Now, I don't know when I'll get to sleep. On the couch with the dog right now.

Nick....I know you're having a hard time right, and I'm sorry for how much you're hurting.
Just know that we're here for you, and we care about you. Let us know if there is anything we can do. It's perfectly okay, to not be okay, and if you need some time away from the games during the holidays...that's okay too. Just let us know.

Alrighty, my brain is tired and my head is hurting so I think it's time for me to go night night with my Boobear.
Boobear already in bed, but I gots to go too.
We looked over the inspection, and sent it to Charley along with what we wanted them to repair. The only thing we're asking for is for the gutters to be re-pitched on one side of the house. They're just not far enough and he said he could see some standing water in them.
So, we sent that and she sent stuff back for us to sign, then she is going to send it to them and the ball will be in their court. I think that even though they said they were selling the house As-Is, that our offer of 92,000 should be good enough for them to fix that one little thing.
We don't mind putting a little elbow grease into this house. Especially when it's been so well maintained. We can upgrade the kitchen later and whatever else we want to do. We're not really worried about the other little stuff that we can take care of ourselves, and we feel that we shouldn't hold Jim and Betty responsible for fixing things that we would eventually have to do ourselves. Also, any of the furniture in the house that we can't use, we will find someone that needs it and give it away. We're not about making profit off of something that was given to us freely.
They are selling this house, the home that Jim grew up in, so that they can take care of his 98 year old mama that is now in a nursing home. We are not all about getting as much out of them as possible.
We are about getting into this house, and making it our home. Creating some of our own memories, and hopefully....eventually...if I'm able to get back to somewhat of a "normal" condition, whatever that may be....we'd really like to look into fostering kids. That was pretty much the whole reason behind finding a place with enough space in the first place.
For now, just one thing at a time. First we get the house, then we worry about doing...whatever we can do for my body and take care of my Boobear and his shoulder...which hopefully will get better after these next few visits. We also have to try and get Dixie through...whatever this is she's going through.
So, she's still doing the shaking thing, and she is losing a lot of weight. She is acting disinterested in all her toys and chew things. I did get her to drink some chicken broth tonight with plain boiled rice, and some pieces of plain boiled chicken. So, we'll just have to see what happens.
Just wanted to try to give everyone an update on what's going on.

Oh...I kind of have some sad news too. Don't really know why I'm going to share it, I guess I just need to kind of vent and let it out before it eats a hole in me and because I feel like I've been really whiny lately when I know there are people out there with so many more things going on than I do.
So, people have been filling in at our branch while Charla has been on vacation this week so they can see family in Texas.
Ms. Natalie from our Branch in Indian Hills, that I used to work at a lot and she's super nice...so anyways, we were talking while Dorothy was on lunch and I don't even know how it came up, but she was talking about a friend of hers that had been trying and trying and trying to get pregnant for years and years and years....and eventually it happened and they had a big beautiful baby girl. Natalie showed me pictures of her that they had just taken a week ago. So, yesterday morning she turned 8 months....and she died. Just like that, for no apparent reason that they can find.
It just broke my heart when she told me and it made all of my problems just seem very very small. I don't know their names or anything about them, but if you could just keep that family in your thoughts and prayers. It seems so unfair to me....but, that's the way things happen sometimes I guess.
It reminded me to be thankful for what I do have and to appreciate it while I'm here, because none of us are promised a tomorrow.
So, I really am thankful...for my beautiful husband of 17 years that I really don't know where I would be without. I can't even imagine my life before him, or without him. You mean everything to me honey and I love you more than words can say. You're turning another year older on Saturday, but we're not just celebrating another year of life....we're celebrating you, and for that alone...it's more important to me than any other holiday.
I am thankful for the friendships we have developed over the years, the family we have met here, and for all the love and support you have shown us over the years. Words are such a powerful thing, and I think a lot of times we take them for granted. For putting up with my crazy ass for....gosh, I don't even know how many years now. Lol I know that we don't always agree, or get along....but what family does? It's okay that we disagree sometimes, or get angry/frustrated with each other from time to time. No matter how upset I might get sometimes, never for one second think that I don't love each and every one of you, probably more than my own blood relations...well, definitely more than most of them.
I don't mean to get all sappy, but I just feel that with everything that's happened that I have to just sort of tell you all what's on my heart.
I KNOW I am not the easiest of persons to get along with, that my way of thinking can seem...well, let's just be honest and say crazy sometimes...but it doesn't change how I feel. Family is more than blood and DNA, it's about who's there for you when you need them. It's about who wants to spend time with you, and offers support and encouragement when needed.
That is what all of you have give to me, and Henry as well. Our circle might not be very large, but it's filled with the ones that count.
So, thank you and I love you.

Okay, so at 12th level, I can actually take everyone with me, but I have to be touching at least one of you, and all of you have to be in contact with each other.....sooooo....like, holding hands? Does that work, or do I just need to touch one, and everyone else touch each other....I don't know, all this touching sounds dirty.

Yup you calculated right. I think we all need to be in contact and one in contact with you so as long as everyone is touching someone else it should work

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Been cooking all day. Had dinner, will try to post at some point, if not, then tomorrow.
I think we're going to lose Dixie....I just don't know what else to do for her. It's just a matter of time if she doesn't start eating and taking water regularly.
Soooo....yesterday I was putting on some lotion because the cold weather dries outg my skin really bad, and dealing with money....I wash my hands, a lot.
So, as I was putting it on, I accidentally hit the button for thed stupid alarm. While trying to get the stupid thing back to the time, it got set for 5 am.
I didn't realize it was on, and the stupid thing went off at 5 this morning. It woke both of us up, Henry stumbled out of bed and couldn't tell where it was coming from. Then I remembered aboutg the watch.
Got up to go to the bathroom, and nearly fell over the cord to the fan. Finally went back to sleep, but woke up again.
I'm so tired.

Rysky☆~I hope you have a wonderful birthday, and wish for you a year that's even better than the last. I hope you really enjoy this year, cuz it's the last one before you turn 30. Hehehe Age is truly just a number though, so don't let it get you down. ;o)
Henry♡~My best friend, my love, my life. I feel so blessed to have had you by my side for these past, almost 17 years. I know I don't always say it, or show it very well, or as often as I should, but I love you so much. You are my everything, and my life would be meaningless withoutg you in it. I want you to know how much you mean to me, not just today, and not just because it's your birthday, but every single day we're together is that much more special because you are in it.
I know how rough this year has been. We have been through Hell together, but we're still here. As long as we remain strong together, there is nothing that we can't do.
I look forward to what our future holds for us, and the new memories we will create in our new home.
I just want you to know, that once the doctors fix us and we're ready to start looking into giving a child, or two, or three their forever home....they will be so lucky to have you for a daddy because you are such a wonderful man, andc you love with your entire being.

I keep pillows on the couch to prop my ankle up on, and we just noticed that one was torn open and we think she ate some of the stuffing.

A couple friends planned a surprise party for Henry. They brought pizzas, cake and ice cream, andc munchkin. And I brought thed drinks, cards against humanity, and Henry.
We had a lot of fun, andc brought home tons of food. It was just thed relaxing night we needed after the hectic week we've had.

Awesome and very much deserved. Off to do laundry, then take X to my mom's, since tomorrow we have to deal with 2 IME's in different parts of the city, which is gonna hell on Sivan.

So, we're having selfies with Santa today at our branch, with cookies and snacks, and a craft for all the little boys and girls that come today, so we're gonna be here pretty late, and it's been pretty busy.
I'll try to post after getting home, and dinner, and stuff.
Got stuff for Dixie to try and clear the blockage, so we'll see how that goes.
Our friend Mark P. told me last Saturday that if we had to take her to the Vet that he'd help us pay for it.

Okay, she drank some water, ate some boiled chicken, and some of her food.
She just peed a lake and pooped on the puppy pad that's in her kennel, so I think I'm gonna try to go sleep sleep now.
