Broken Moon - Missing Feldgrau maps

I'm starting to prepare for Feldgrau, and have noticed that maps for several encounter areas have not been included with the adventure. The locations lacking maps are:
F4 - Homestead
F6 - Glassblower's shop
F7 - Buther's shop
F10 - Tavern
F11 - Apothecary
F12 - Gravedigger's shed
F13 - Town square
F14 - Armory
I understand that it was probably impractical to include maps for all of the Feldgrau locations. So I ask the community: What alternate maps have you used for these locations? Preferably from other Pathfinder or Dragon Magazine issues, but all suggestions would be welcome.


For the shed, I upgraded it a bit. I had a large (70x50 or so) fenced in courtyard with grave stones and plinths and large blocks of impassible stuff. The building itself was inside the enclosed area. When the players got most of the way through the graveyard, I had skeleton and zombies pop out all around and charge, with the stronger guys coming out of the building itself. It was fun to have so much difficult terrain and sight line issues... at least until the wizard fireballed a good quarter of the place.

I'm running the final showdown with Vrood this week and I thought I'd share the battlemap I made for it. (Be gentle it's my first attempt at creating battle maps for public release.)

Downstairs is set to 100ppi.

Those are both nice!
As far as maps beyond that, I think its sort of up the GM to create the backdrops. While this might seem like a bad thing since it's going to take a little of work, it does let you set up the encounter's terrain in a way that can either provide an advantage or disadvantage to your PCs as you see fit.

For my part, I plan on having a lot of the town encompassed in fog to prevent the encounters from escalating into one massive combat. That way, I don't have to worry about the actual map of the town and can just have the group move from "scene to scene". I don't think the intention of the module is to clear every building, cleanse the taint of Feldgrau, then kill the BBEG; I was under the impression that Feldgrau was a 'lasting evil' that couldn't be 'fixed'. From what I understand, a lot of groups beeline to the tower anyways, so you might not even need maps for all those buldings.

I am finding myself very annoyed by the choice of maps they included and didn't include. Many of the missing maps specifically have encounters in them, while several that are included don't. And given the cramped conditions, number of enemies involved in combat patrols, and large sized creatures running around, I don't get why you wouldn't put a battle map in the places where battles are actually being fought.

That aside, I'm pretty excited to use some of the Carrion Crown set pieces. I had a lot of fun building a 3D map for Vorkstag and Grine's factory, with cans being used for vats and different elevations for the cat walks and such. I'm really digging the awesome art and visuals for Schloss Caromarc, and I've been trying to come up with ways to get that across to the players.

Did anyone pick up the interactive map pack and figure out a way to make it worthwhile for the players? Obviously there are some solutions involving roll20 but my group meets IRL.


No, I hand draw almost all of my maps. Didn't know about the interactive pack!
