Okay so I'm playing a Druid and I wonder...Do I actually become an animal when I use Wildshape? My first guess is no. But I'm unsure about it.
The descriptions says:
At 4th level, a druid gains the ability to turn herself into any Small or Medium animal and back again once per day(...)This ability functions like the beast shape I spell(...)
Beast Shape 1 is a polymorph spell and its description says:
When you cast this spell, you can assume the form of any Small or Medium creature of the animal type
And in the polymorph description:
A polymorph spell transforms your physical body to take on the shape of another creature.
My question is: do I gain the "animal" type? And even if I don't, can I use on myself (while using wildshape) spells that affects animals only like, say, Animal Growth?
Another question is can I take feats that activate only while in animal form? Like a weapon focus on my Tiger's bite?
I guess not, but as I'm trying to pull off the highest possible attack and base damage dice, it would change about..well..everything!

Polymorph effects do not change your type, so you aren't actually an animal.
I do not recall any language that lets the druid's wildshape count as the type they turn into for spell effects, so no to that one too.

Okay thanks.
I was about to ask if then I could use "Enlarge person" as a wildshaping druid, but ut specifically says "Multiple magical effects that increase size do not stack"
Therefore I have to find other ways to increase my base dice damage (besides chosing the best available shape and using Strong Jaw, of course)
