My Oread Fighter needs a name

Advice

I usually struggle with names but I just can't find one I like for this guy at all. I'm playing an Oread who fights with a shield. His non-elemental heritage is Dwarven. He has an Int of 7 (I dropped this intentionally from a die roll - it's not a dump) as I would like to play him as a very good hearted but naive individual. If you've ever seen Perfect Strangers he'd be Balki. Super positive but if someone does something bad then they get a shield to the face.
The counter to his good nature is that his simplicity can lead to tantrums when things don't go the way he likes. He hates when things change and he can't stand being called dumb. He knows his limitations and is glad to have smarter people call the shots, but don't call him stupid or he might flip out.
I'd love a name that is short (2 syllables seems about right) and kind of gutteral in a rock/earth/dwarven sense, not an orcish one. God I'm difficult to please!

Thanks for any suggestions!

Grab a Russian name and enforce a halting accent upon it.

Normally you come up with something with very low vowel sounds and it strays away from dwarven/scottish stereotypes that often rise up in fantasy.

Russian names

I like the Russian name idea, but might I suggest going ahead and picking a medium or even a long name and just having the character introduce themselves using a shortened "nickname" version.

This thought strikes my particular fancy because, let's admit it, most people don't get to assign their full names as that is usually done at birth by their parents. It can also add depth to the character as their full name might have hinted at alternate aspirations their parents might have had for them, or even function to highlight their lower intelligence, as they might simply be unable to pronounce or remember their full name past a basic recognition.

How about Shale? Or Otto?

Hmmm. Not at all what I'd been thinking, but I do like Shale. The Russian names had Bogden and Gleb. I'm also considering Slate, Boden and Slab.

Fred Flint-stone ...

One I intend to use for a melee heavy character some time in the future is Bash.

Earth wise there is Crag, Ore, Quarry, Basalt, Flint and other more technical names.

Good luck.

Bastian, as in a Stone Bastion on the walls of a castle. Its a defensive structure.

For science!

Strontium.

Mercury.

Barium.

Bastion Stonehold

Liberty's Edge

Like all Oread fighters since the dawn of time, his name is Rocky.

The only other acceptable names would be Igneous (Iggy for short).

Anything else would be wrongbadfun.
