Masterwork Items in Society Play

Pathfinder Society

I know that the ruels for Society play state that characters can have only one item with the "Masterwork Transformation" (apologies if I have the name wrong) spell cast on it to carry over from one scenario to the next.

I also know that the craft skill is not legal to use in Society play.

My question is, can a Masterwork weapon be purchased at the cost of 300 gold + cost of mundane weapon to be used in Society play? Or, does this purchase count as crafting the item (therefore not legal for PFS)?

I apologize if this is not the correct thread, it may be better suited for Rules discussion, but since I'm asking how it relates to Society play, I put it in PFS General Discussion.

Signboy, you can purchase a Masterwork Weapon in Society. In fact, if I remember correctly, they are listed as being always available in he Guide to Organized Play.

The Masterwork transformation is primarily to allow someone with a Heirloom weapon proficiency to turn that weapon into a MW weapon as he can't buy a MW replacement.

MW weapons are even always available. Go and buy them as long as you have gold.

Thank you guys. I appreciate the quick responses.

No problem, glad we could help.

This is NOT what I expected from the thread title.

I was expecting another debate about the nature of generic items granting +2 skill bonuses for 50 gp.

Sorry to disappoint, Fromper. I should have put "weapons" in the thread title instead of "items."
