The spell Litany of Righteousness, states that a creature that has an aura of good, under the influence of this spell, would do double damage with their attack vs. evil creatures.

the spell talks about attacks... does that apply to spells that need a to hit roll? searing light for example?

Since it only says "attacks" (as opposed to "weapon attacks" or "melee attacks" or whatever), it probably means anything that uses an attack roll and deals hit point damage. There's precedent for this definition in what qualifies for sneak attack and what's affected by Inspire Courage.

But this should be in the rules forum.
