Explosive Missile and scatter firearms

Rules Questions

Is there any ruling on how the Explosive Missile alchemist Discovery interacts with the scatter firearms? (It says one-handed firearm, so I'd assume that would limit it to a dragon pistol)

Would it deal normal damage to one target in the cone, and splash to the rest, like the ability Grenadiers get to explode bombs in cones? Would it deal normal damage to all targets in the cone? Would the two simply not work together?

Bump

Personally, I would rule it like the rules for Directed Blast.

A grenadier can detonate a bomb so that it splashes in a 20-foot cone rather than affecting a radius. The cone starts at the alchemist and extends away from her in the direction she chooses. The alchemist designates one creature in the squares affected by the cone to be the target of the bomb and makes her attack roll against that creature; all other squares in the cone take splash damage.

I doubt you'll get any responses soon.

I know that I have asked (repeatedly) about the explosive missile's exclusion to 2h firearms.. and the 10' range on the double barrel musket by others.

You'll be waiting a while I think. Sorry.

It doesn't, because Explosive Missile works on a bolt, arrow or bullet - noticeably absent on that list is a handful of pellets, or a sling stone for that matter.
