Champion Voter Season 6

The curse of the Champion voters is that they really can't say if any of them got in due to there only being 3, and that would narrow it down quite a bit.

I would not be surprised to see Thomas and Feros.

IMO mine was to improvable with an hour after what I learned from from voting giving actual context examples for the Judge's comments. Expect I will learn a great deal more from the actual Top 32 and Clark's Comments yesterday.

Hindsight is usually better than foresight by a d--- sight.

At this point I would be delighted and surprised if I made it in, for reasons that shall be discussed in 6 hours time.

I think Thomas will be the Champions' representative in the contest if any of us. He seems to have the most experience and was far more dedicated in voting than even CHEERS and myself.

Yup. That's how I remember it as well.

I still only saw my item in ~.23% of all votes cast and my favorite item almost twice as often.

Actually, for me you want to be:

4, 5, 6, both 7 and 8 big time, 11, 13, 14, 16 (loved it even though when I read the name I thought I'd hate it), 22, 23, 25, 31, 34, 37 (loved it), 42, 43, 44, 45, 55, 59, 68 (surprisingly cool, or should I say hot :) ). If you were those numbers, you will likely be happy. At least from my standpoint. Those don't include my weak keeps that will likely be part of our discussion tomorrow.

That's 22 sure fire keepers from me. I'm not sure I've ever had that many before. And even the weak keeps I have are really, really good.

You have to remember our standard is sickly high. Like, crazy high. So even a "weak keep" really means "this is way better than your average item in a book, it is superstar quality but its not a lock for the top 32 though it should be considered for a slot."

Oh Oh! Clark did you pick my item? Did you, did you?

Disclaimer:
I didn't actually enter anything into the contest, I'm just here to hand out hot chocolate and warm blankets in the Top 32 Guild Hall and torment Clark :-)

Well then, m, I can tell you and you only that for sure you are not in the top 32 if you didn't submit an item. :) I appreciate the torment.

You know, at zoos they have signs that state, "Do not feed the bears." I would suggest the same for demon lords when it comes to messagebaords. See, he's not tormented at all. He rather enjoys passing it on to the rest of us.

Sorry, I may have missed if this was already answered, but is there any chance of a "RPG Superstar 2013 Top 100" title? I think many of us would be honored to have made it at least that far in the eyes of our voting peers.

That sounds like Top 89 Material to me. Just a few more hours. :)

I doubt Paizo will do anything offical or that they'll even release a list, but in the past, judges have let people know if they made the initial "keep" folder in critique. I don't think it'd be out of the question this year for some of the judges to reveal information like "You were in the top ~90 that we looked at closely, but..."

That's just speculation on my part, though.

Also, can I just say I really think it's awesome that the judges not only pop onto the forums to say hi or post up some observations, but they actually take the time to respond to individuals.

...I haven't decided if the fact that some of Clark's responses essentially amount to "TROLLOLOLOLOLOL..." adds or detracts from the awesome factor. :P

MAN! as i said on a different thread , THIS was the first year i had even heard of the contest. I became very excited and did work on the item and submitted it on the very first day! :( THAT was NOT a good way to go. I believe my item is decent , yet after i read seans post about the guidelines of creating a good item , and some of what clark has mentioned above , I have a feeling that my item is in a little trouble. LOL
After i submitted my idea so quickly i THEN had two other ideas i liked much better and i thought were overall MORE creative. So even if THIS year isnt great for me NEXT year i believe, will be a different story. I havent given up ALL hope this year . LOL My item is a decent item. :) im just worried about certain things.

And, as Clark said, an impressive number of people who got a title this year for voting. :)

I got my title solely based on my item never showing up for me to vote on. I don't think I voted more than a couple dozen times after I finally saw my item (thus reassured that I wasn't disqualified or cut off with the bottom 25%). I really didn't enjoy the Nth hundredth time of waiting 60 seconds to vote on items that I had already sorted 10 times previously. Only anxiety drove me to continue.

Agirlnamedbob is right. Judges have told us only two categories exist Top 32 & not.

Post your item in the critique my item thread you might get more clarification. :)

EDIT: stupid phone :)

Just for curiousity's sake, mamaursula, what is number 32 on that list?

Not me this year. I take pride in that I must have been #1.

I must have been weeding through the chaff at the bottom of the pile. I only saw one of the top 32 items while voting.
