Official NAME CHANGE in progress. Formerly known as "Milo Goodfellow" Will now be posting as the alias "Goodfellow" as this has been decided to be my name once PFO comes out. I have decided to take the name as was suggested by another fellow assassin.

Any relation to Milo "Goodfellow" Tosscobble?

Goblin Squad Member

nope. I wonder if this was a coincidence or if this was inspired from me? If you look, it says that is an alias of Kybryn. Milo Goodfellow was my "main" name.

Goblin Squad Member

His first post was from June of 2012. Yours was from December of that year.

Goblin Squad Member

as that alias?? interesting. I have had the name "Milo Goodfellow" for years, actually 10 years come to think of it. I just came to the Paizo forums 6 months ago, but I have been using it in D&D and other games for years. Now I know why Milo is always taken when I enter other games.....

Goblin Squad Member

In life some people have the same names, mere coincidence. Proper names can not be copyrighted and fictional names must be copyrighted or they remain public domain.

When PFO launches, there can be a Milo Goodfellow, followed by a Milo Goodfellow1 or a Mylow Goodfellow or Milogoodfellow etc........

Pax Aeternum has named their Bounty Hunter clan after me! Every time they say their own company name, they will think of me... Lol, my ego loves it.

Goblin Squad Member

Well, just saying, I don't intend to use "Milo" in PFO as a character name due to the sentimental value and what it represents to me. Mainly a NG kind-hearted and fun "master traps smith" and NOT a cold-hearted killer. But, I have decided to use the "Goodfellow" name as more of a title or nickname and such I have created the alias here known as "The Goodfellow."

If the other guy wants to create "Milo Goodfellow." then he needs to be prepared for possible mistaken identities.

Andius had posted this in another thread and I felt it would make the perfect pitch for recruitment:

Then after his hour of farming, he has his 500 gold worth of ribs. We ambush him and gank him 10 to 1, and take 75% of his ribs in less than a minute. Split the gold up, 37.5 gold each, not a bad exchange for an alignment shift we want and a reputation hit well worth the reward.

I really do hope there will be gold farmers in PFO, and they stupidly make videos to tell us exactly where they will be.

If you want to have an equal share of the spoils, put your application in and join The UnNamed Company..... The premier bandit company in all of PFO.

The UnNamed Company is still recruiting....

With the recent news that the 1 - step alignment restriction has been lifted, our company is now open to all alignments except for CG, NG and LG.... Sorry guys and gals of that persuasion, I think we will be just too bad for your taste.

The UnNamed Company is also heavily focused on the PVP opportunities of the game.

Banditry
Assassination
POI Raids
Settlement Raids
Settlement Hex Security (get off my lawn)
Outlaw bands hunting Enforcers
Bounty Hunting
War

We will also participate in Escalation management and dungeons when they turn up, but that is about it for the PVE content for us.

So, if you are interested in joining and feel that the PVP game is your main focus...... Apply Here

So your saying I cant play a CG robin hood type? I would rob from the rich and give to the poor. Since some of the UNC will be poor, I will give it to them. Does that count?

The UnNamed Company has announced two of our intended contract types, for extensive use, which will be the foundation for most of our interactions with companies and settlements in the River Kingdoms:

Quote:

Considering what we believe to be available to us in the realm of PVP, we have combined the ideas of: Contracts, POIs, Settlement Controlled Hexes, Faction Warfare, PVP Flags, Feuds and the Alignment / Reputation Systems into the following "Meaningful, RP-PVP" concept.

Interdiction Contracts - These contracts will be accepted by The UnNamed Company, which will be specifically trained to intercept cargos of contraband, resources taken from Employer controlled hexes without authorization, or resources passing through Employer controlled hexes for possible delivery to parts unknown. Interdiction Contracts will also cover the investigation and potential interference, dismantling or the pressing into the service of the employer’s company or settlement, any unauthorized POI placed within the employer’s area of influence.

Privateering Contracts: The UnNamed Company will accept a Letter of Marque from any company or settlement that is in our neutral or good standing. A Privateering Contract differs from an Interdiction Contract in that The UnNamed Company will be operating, potentially, outside of the employer’s controlled hexes. Privateering Contracts may also include the use of the Feud System (awaiting details).

On the issue of Griefing, Anti Griefing, Judging What is Griefing, Supporting Suspected Griefers and Supporting Known Griefers......

Quote:

The UnNamed Company is a Non-Griefing Company. Simply put, "We Don't Do It". We have our definition of what griefing is, and we believe it is within the realm of being the most commonly held definition (No Noob Farming; No Corpse or Respawn Camping; No tracking down and killing the same character X number of times for no legitimate reason other than to cause grief.

I'm sure some will pick up on the new term "Non-Griefing" as opposed to "Anti-Griefing." Anti-Griefing implies that the UNC will actively seek and and hinder or destroy griefers, and that is just not our policy. The only Anti-Griefer activities that we will participate in will be against those who directly harmed UNC, our Contracted Employer or our friends.

Judging Griefing(ers) is not something that the UNC will do as a third party. If we do not have direct knowledge that someone is a griefer, they get the benefit of the doubt. The UNC will not look at someone's reputation, no matter how low, and make that assumption. We will only trust in our own experiences or that of our most trusted friends (not necessarily allies).

Supporting suspected griefers, as stated, may occur because we will not make the assumption that they are in fact griefers.

Supporting known Griefers, implies that we would be supporting players that have harmed the UNC or our friends. This will not be our policy. You will notice I left out our Contracted Employers. Our Anti Griefing activities or denial of support only exists for as long as the term of the contract.

In my view, this supports our concept of Meaningful RP-PVP as it relates to the issue of griefing. In the shortest of descriptions, The UnNamed Company is:

A Mercenary-Bandit / Assassin Company, that is motivated primarily by Self Interest and Greed. We are definitely Chaotic at our core, and likely Neutral along the Good and Evil spectrum. We practice an NBRI (Not Blue Rob It) policy. Our company is not an NBSI policy group, but this is not to be misconstrued that we will not rob or even kill someone out of sheer boredom (camping a road at 3:00 AM can do that to you).

In other news.....

The UnNamed Company has promoted Xeen and Lonewolf to the Jr. Officer (NCO) ranks of Troupe Leaders. Both have represented the dedication we are looking for.

Finally, the UnNamed Company is continuing to recruit for new members. We are currently involved here on these boards (obviously), in EVE Online, MechWarrior Online and in Darkfall.

We are looking for PVP focused players, who will not shy away from a good fight, not cringe at an unfair one and are willing to accept a hard fought loss, when they happen.

The UnNamed Company is still recruiting, and not just here on these boards.

We are actively recruiting players from EVE Online, Darkfall Unholy Wars and Mechwarrior Online. Any member of these forums who join us in UNC, will also find yourself a place in some well established corporations / clans in the other games we play.

Contacts:

Bluddwolf = Darkfall
Xeen = EvE Online
The Goodfellow = Mechwarrior Online

In PFO the UnNamed Company will function primarily as a Bandit - Assassin company for hire. This does not mean that we do not freelance, but the real money is found with having an employer and getting the loot.

Apply Here for a Life of Adventure and Loot!

Yes, I'm aware, it is not the call sign for any of us for that matter. We can be PM'd if anyone is interested, and that contact information in those games could then be shared with UNC recruits.

I am thinking of setting an incentive, to get some of my members into Darkfall. I wasn't interested, but I would be interested in seeing how others in the community will play

Bring what guys you are thinking of, into the game and we will see about linking you all up with my contacts there. PM me a list of names here, so I can add your names to my friends list.

If you do so, are you interested in joining the Goblin Squad clan there? There aren't very many of us still active, but we're from a good variety of guilds represented here: The Seventh Veil, Pax, and Deepforge Company spring to mind, as well as some unaffiliated.

Ahh yes, it is always good form to recruit in someone else's recruitment thread.

And, you have sold it so well too..."There aren't very many of us still active"... You mean, Ryan Dancey didn't show up? Wow! I didn't see that coming.

Goblin Squad Member

LOL thread jacking at it's finest. But hey, what ever keeps us at the TOP of the thread boards.

Oh, and the UNC is still recruiting :-)

Goblin Squad Member

Bludd,

I hope responding to the last four or so posts won't be considered thread-jacking...and I can't really recruit, since you already know I'm unaffiliated.

I would like to see Deacon and his people in the Goblin Squad group in Darkfall as well, since one of the main goals of the Darkfall experiment was to get a chance to meet each other and work together. I've gotten to know many forum posters far better from playing together, some of them well enough that I know we'll have a strong friendship in PFO regardless of what character or what guild they end up in when the game finally rolls out.

I think I heard you say on PFO Fan last evening that you're still playing, but no longer in the Goblin Squad. If that's true, I'm saddened. I'm not asking the reason for it, but I hope you'll reconsider.

My apologies again if this seemed like taking liberties with the purpose of your thread.

Goblin Squad Member

@Lord Regent: Deacon Wulf, my apologies to you if you were posting about DarkFall in this thread because you were only interested in playing with Bluddwolf and his friends there. I don't usually pay a lot of attention to which thread a conversation is happening in; I simply join the conversation if it takes a turn that interests me or if I feel I have something to add. Your announcement that you were thinking of playing DarkFall sounded like a general thing - I'm sure I thought it was in one of the DarkFall threads at the time - and so I wanted to make sure you knew about our community presence there. Again, I apologize to you if you felt like I was out of line.

Goblin Squad Member

WOOT more thread jacking, keep it coming guys.

The UNC supports this publicity :-)

Goblin Squad Member

*hands you back your thread*

But I'm keeping my green hat. :P

LOL, kinda funny that you yammer on about "our" Darkfall "Community" there.

When I showed interest in playing, I was ignored by your "community."

Dont get me wrong, Im not much into cliff jumping...

Goblin Squad Member

Xeen

I'm really sorry if you thought you were ignored - I for one had no idea that you had expressed an interest in DF. Either I read it and it didn't register because a) my brain was already full with the 3 thoughts I can manage at a time or b) I hadn't had any coffee yet that morning, or perhaps I just didn't see it. No slight intended, I can assure you.

Goblin Squad Member

Its cool Lhan, I did show interest, but stepped back once I saw the $40 cost just to play the game... I can afford it just fine, but I would prefer to play a trial before committing.

Anyway, I will be jumping into the game (and not off cliffs) and joining Bludd soon.

Goblin Squad Member

Xeen,

I'll add to Lhan's statement - I was not aware that any other UNC were interested. I have found the Darkfall experiment very fruitful - not for leaning how to PvP (I still have trouble just walking from point A to B or healing a mount that isn't walking at all...just ask Nihimon) - but for meeting forum posters in a new venue and gaining a much better view of them as players. It has also been a wonderful practice in PFO player cooperation, so I am further saddened that more PFO forum posters will be joining Darkfall, but not joining The Goblin Squad clan. I'm not getting into the why of it, just sad that it happened once and seems to be continuing.

I am Hogrim Blackriver in the game. Feel free to friend me, and of course, we have PFO Fan TS to communicate more efficiently.

Goblin Squad Member

That would be awesome if you could. There is a lot to like about Darkfall, especially the danger that you feel when you leave the safe zone.
