Hey Daron, love your products.

I don't know if the suggestion has been made for more material for Prestige Classes, but that is the number one thing I'm fiending for right now. I think there could be a decent market for 3PP to fill the PrC void right now.

If that is sufficient, I'd like th e Class Acts Oracle PDF. Thanks.

Daron:

I've been picking these up as I could afford (I have most of them), but I would like Class Acts: Magi.

Keep em' coming and keep up the good work!

A foray into monster alternative abilities or race options would fit into your line well.

I would love to see some racial archetypes or race specific feats.

The only two books I don't have are the two on summoners so whichever you decide to send me determines which one I will buy :)

I would assume Ninjas, Samurai, and Antipaladins will be getting the same treatment as the other classes? And I would think the next place to go would be Race Options: *****, with both racial feats and alternate abilities, and then Race Options: ***** Archetypes, adding more new race-specific class archetypes.

If you really want to go further afield, why not a series that adapts various monstrous races into Race Builder format, complete with racial feats, archetypes, etc.?

(I've yet to start buying the Class Acts series, though they have been on my radar. Think I could start off with Alchemist Archetypes, please?)

I would like some unarmed feats that arent monk specific but help them too, and maybe more feats of insert ability score here. I already have feats of strength, it's friggin awesome.

@ Gerald: I thought I'd see you here! Oracles it is. Prestige classes are on my radar, as are base classes. Actually - spoiler alert - I've got a pair of brand-new base classes in the works. Check out my interview in Pathways #22 - I leaked a few details, there.

@ pcrotteau: Race content (as well as four new-but-familiar race products) are actually in the (very) early stages of development. I have to be careful with these - and I have to be careful what I say about these - because... well. Let it suffice to say that these products are inspired by the works of a certain... Baker.

Class Acts: Magi, coming up.

@ Bob Loblaw: Hi again; I knew I'd see you here! Class Acts: Summoners it is.

@ Kvantum: Ahh, the alchemist. One of my absolute favorite classes. If you're going to dip your toes into the Class Acts pool, Class Acts: Alchemist Archetypes isn't a bad place to start - that's a fun one. A little sillier than most of the rest, but fun. (Class Acts: Alchemists isn't silly at all, on the other hand - it's just awesome. I think I'll get both products out to you, if only to entice you into buying the rest!) ; )

Oh, and the alternate classes will likely see their turn in the Class Acts spotlight at some point in the future; yes.

@ Arkady Zelenka: Hiya! You didn't mention a product; have you got Class Acts: Monks already? Little secret: Class Acts Monks isn't actually for monks. It's a collection of unarmed combat style feats that anyone could qualify for. Pop back into the thread and let me know which product you wanted. If not, I'll just get Class Acts: Monks out to you.

I'm glad you enjoyed Feats of Strength. That's actually one of the best More Feats! products I've written. My favorite, though, is Feats of Subterfuge. It's not even $0.90 - go check it out. Seriously, it's one of the neatest little products that I've authored. Kid-tested; Endzeitgeist-approved.

Here's an idea: we've got archetypes for classes. What about for magic items? Maybe an archetype would describe elven magic items, another for those of dwarven manufacture, and so on. They could be layered onto items in the Core rulebook. As an example, maybe elven items have slightly reduced hardness and hp, but do things like extra max dex bonus (armor), or bonuses to social skills with elves; dwarven items do things like extra hardness and/or hp, and so on.

I'd like Class Acts: Ranger Archetypes please :)

Heyah Daron.

Since you say you've got the rest of the base classes, PrCs, and race options in the pipeline, I'd say the next place to look would be monsters. Alternate options for monster abilities. Alternate monster "packages" for setting up a unique, special, or superior member of a monster race. Advice for using class levels with monsters - how, what, and why to advance them, and how to make the classes work well with particular monster abilities, themes, and roles.

And, of course, tools and tricks and tips for monstrous PCs, both for players playing them and for GMs trying to integrate them into a campaign - be it one monstrous member of an otherwise-normal party, or an entire gang of monster PCs. I know it's not everyone's thing, but it's something I would be interested in. Perhaps packaged by monstrous types? One for Aberrations, one (or more!) for Undead, one (again, or more!) for Dragons, etc. etc. etc.

Requesting Class Acts: Sorcerers please =D

@ Lathiira: Reminds me of the Elder Scrolls series. : ) Class Acts: Ranger Archetypes coming right up.

@ Orthos: Kind of like a Pathfinderized Savage Species, eh?

Oh, and damn - I wish I had the time to vote more. I'm jealous of your badge. Going for the thousands? If you see my entry in there, vote for it. I can't tell you which one it is, so I'm counting on your inherent powers of telepathy. Use the Force.

Are you stalking me (or am I stalking you, I forget how this all works out)? Anyway, thanks! It's hard to get freebies when I buy everything. I'm starting to run into this problem with SSG. I'm getting caught up with everything they've put out that I would use.

I plan on using your feats in my new campaign I'm starting up here in the next month or so. I don't think I'm going to make the actually available to choose. Instead I'm going to be giving them out as rewards for character development.

@ Bob Loblaw: Cool! Which feats in particular? The ones from the "More Feats!" series? Let me know which ones your players get. : D

I'm going to try, but I'm being a bit lazy about it ;) I've got ten days remaining - if I make fifty votes a day, I should just barely manage to hit Marathon before it ends =)

Good luck with your submission!

They will definitely come from the "More Feats!" series. My current thinking is one feat every level (there are some SSG feats I plan on giving them too). This particular campaign is going to assume that the characters are more than mere mortals but they don't know it yet. Giving them an additional boost each level will add to the story.

I know its been done a bit before, but I really enjoy race-themed archetypes, feats, etc. You guys put out pretty awesome themed archetypes & feats already so I think that'd be something cool to see.

I've yet to start purchasing the Class Acts, they're on the shopping list though. I'm currently rolling a Magus though so either of those books would be helpful :) Thanks & keep up the good work!

Ok, everyone. I've got it all recorded. : )

I reviewed a few of your products (3 or so of the first 4?) but more importantly: I've driven sales 8) .

A compendium of your spell-les archetypes, as well as additional "menu choice options" for some of the spell-less archetypes already in existence (Skirmisher ranger, in particular) would be awesome.

Class Acts: Summoners please?

Haven't gotten to see your product, but I am interested in seeing one of them. Class Acts: Wizards sounds interesting.

Based off of what I've seen and have read, I'd love to see some sort of odd artificer based class. I remember one from 3.5 (wasn't that good if I remember right) where the class slowly turns itself into a living, thinking construct, could even make it clock work for some fun role playing. A new base class along those lines would be awesome.

Another idea might be a base class or prestige class that's a sort of magical fighter that gains the ability to increase and/or decrease his size at will (limited by time and uses of course).

Just some random ideas.

Yeah, sorry about not mentioning which product this morning, I was a little groggy. Class Acts:Barbarian archetypes would be awesome.

Mmkay, everybody! Just popping in to say that I got you three down for your free product. Thanks for the input.

Psst. Something else everyone should know: John and the d20pfsrd staff give your favorite developers more of the profits from the sale of their products than any other electronic distributor around. When you buy from the d20pfsrd store, you're doing that much more to support the developer that you buy from!

@ Alzrius: Thanks for the review! We've got you down for Class Acts: Sorcerers.

@ Col the Bold: Noted; and thanks. If you've already started using your magus, Class Acts: Magi will help you out more than the archetype product.

@ Cheapy: That counts; Summoners it is! (PS: Marathon, huh? Nice.)

@ Third Mind: That first idea sounds a little bit like one of my upcoming base class projects: the engineer. Tyg's got you down for Class Acts: Wizards.

@Arkady Zelenka Got it!

I know that sometimes 3rd party guys work together and make stuff for each other's products - any chance of seeing such collaborations and thus getting stuff for some 3rd party classes? I do love my third party classes...

Other than that, I'd love to see Vindictive Variants for monsters and such. It's always nice to have a badguy that I know my table will recognize and then spring on them some horrible variant, like a werewolf from the First World that's weak to cold iron rather than silver (that'll teach you lot to be too bloody genre savvy!) and thus a challenge.

Would it be possible to grab the Oracle Archetype book please?

@ JonGarrett: Got it!

That's really cool of you guys to offer promotional products. If I could recommend something for branching out in unknown directions, I would do setting-based work. Detailed settlements, civic enchantments to explain what cities do to counteract magic users and monsters that threaten them, etc.

I would love to take a look at the magus class archetypes.

I'd love Class Acts: Rogues

As for what I'd like to see, a parallel series for races? With a goofy name like Race to Victory? With the ARG, the options for races have exploded, but there's no such thing as enough. Especially race archetypes.

Got it. : )

@ JonGarrett: Thanks for the ideas, Jon. Class Acts: Oracles it is.

@ toascend: Though terribly, terrifyingly ambitious, a world-setting is indeed one of our long-term aims. Magus archetypes, coming up.

@ Nylissa: Class Acts: Rogues. Got it.

Funny - I've been struggling with what the heck to call a "race options" product line. "Race" is a sensitive word, while "class" is less so. Anybody else have any clever ideas?

Hey guys, I would love a copy of Class Acts: Cavalier Archetypes!
You probably know I've done a few reviews for you guys, but....
A collection of Species Enhancements racial archetypes and feats with the Abandoned Arts flair would be fantastic!!!!

That being said, we've been using the Peacebringer paladin from your Class Acts: Paladin Archetypes supplement (which I reviewed...), and it is still one of the coolest archetypes I've ever seen, and the only peaceful, non-lethal adventurer I've ever seen who has actually held his own and been a great group contributor throughout multiple levels of play.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I don't think that "race" is a sensitive word in the context of Pathfinder. In fact, you could run with it and title the line Racial Privileges. If you don't want to go that route, what about Humanoid Background Feats or something similar. Personally, I wouldn't worry about the word "race." Context means everything and in RPGs, especially Pathfinder, it has a very neutral meaning.

Seconded.

I like Nylissa's "Race to Victory" suggestion.

"Race to Victory" works for me (although it does have a 'power gamers can use this to win the game' vibe to it. Dragon Magazine (the Paizo version) had a column called Race Matters. Don't know if you can use that or not.

Regarding what I would like to see? More options for the featured and uncommon races of the Advanced Race Guide. Especially to fill out the favored class options and some more replacements for the Alternate Racial Traits.

What I really want is for race to matter at higher levels. This means race only spells and feats (and maybe a mechanic to get more Alternate Racial Traits). And archetypes, espcially archetypes.

Since your products are short, you could try something like 'Elven Fighter' and include 1 archetype, 3 Alternate Race Traits, and 6 feats. Or "Ratfolk Summoner" with 1 archetype, 3 spells, and 2 feats and 3 new evolutions. Perhaps an eidolon build with a ratfolk theme. A disease ediolon? An alchemy Eidolon?

Damn, now my ideas are flowing and I want to start my own company. :)

I would like Class Acts; Witch Archetypes please.

One more thing: pictures. Those lesser races have very little artwork. Even a pencil sketch of the Ratfolk Summoner (even just a head shot) would be nice.

And for my second request Class Acts Alchemists. Oh wait, I'm not allowed to do that am I?

By the way, I do like the no frills appearance of your products. I have gotten PDFs before, never used them and deleted them simply because they were to ugly to read. So Bravo! to your design.

I would love to see some class or race specific weapons and armor, especially for the lesser used races. Studd that curses a character outside of the class or race that tries to use it, but gives big bonuses otherwise.

Could i get class acts sorcerer?

I would love to get a copy of Class Acts: Wizards.

As for an idea... I would REALLY like to see an expansion of crafting. Your party has just taken down a dragon, albeit a relatively small one. The fighter says "I'm going to skin it to make some dragonhide armor and a shield!" How much armor can you make from a certain age category of dragon? The Wizard says, "You can have the skin, but I want to collect the blood, organs, teeth and claws. They will make excellent materials for the item I am crafting."

So, how much is a dead dragon worth in crafting materials? Are there any bonuses to using fresh Troll's blood when crafting a Ring of Regeneration? How should treasure awards be adjusted when players are able to harvest crafting materials?

I think there is more than enough territory to cover to make a decent supplement and elevate crafting to something special instead of a feat that basically let's you transform gold to magic items over time.

Thanks!

Abandoned Arts has not really been on my radar yet. Seems like a good opportunity to take a look.

My recommendation for products is expanding the class acts line into 3rd party classes. We've already seen some collaboration between 3pps and they seem to have been successful. My recomendations would be for the super genius godline line of classes or their time based classes (time theif and time warden).

As for my requested product. Class Acts Witches please.

Kolokotroni wrote:

Abandoned Arts has some seriously fun Archetypes. My personal recommendations are the Shadow Agent from Class Acts: Inquisitor Archetypes, the Peacebringer from Class Acts: Paladin Archetypes, and the Magelance, from Class Acts: Magus Archetypes.

The Shadow Agent is a spell-less Inquisitor who gains rogue talent-like divine abilities and changes a few of their powers to be more urban environment oriented, the Peacebringer is a paladin devoted to healing and peace who gains a ki pool he can use to enhance his healing capabilities and ability to deal with enemies via non-lethal means, and the Magelance is a magus who exchanges some of his arcane pool abilities for the ability to summon a phantom steed enhanced equivalent to a rangers animal companion whose natural attacks he can enhance with his arcane pool, and gains the ability to use his spellstrike and spell combat with a lance.

I'd like to see archetypes for 3PP classes, or maybe archetypes fit for multiclass combinations, like the ones by Rite Publishing.
Could I have Inquisitor Archetypes, please?

I'd like to see Class Acts for the SGG Classes, like the Time Thief or the Witchhunter.

As for my requested product: Class Acts Witch Archtypes please.

I like the idea of characters with special items that develope with the pc. Like the blackblade magus' sword.
Perhaps you could make some more options to get those. be it via feats or via archetypes.

And I often see questions around these forums about possibilities to protect certain mgic or mundane items. Perhaps a collection of rituals, enchantments and the like to make items more durable.
For example someone carries with him a mundane, yet old and (for him at least) flag. It would be a pitty if it got burnt in the next fireball.

Earlier in this thread you said the Class Acts: Monks was not only for monks but for all kinds of unarmed combatants. That sounds interesting. I'd take this one.

Ooh, seconded. Archetypes that took a Wizards Arcane Bond, or a paladin's Divine Bond and really expanded on making that item a core feature of the character similar to the Bladebound Magus' weapon would be super cool.

PDF to receive - Class Acts: Summoner Archtypes

Fairly new to Pathfinder to i'm not heavily exposed to everything, but i love what i'm seeing. I'd like to see a list of alternative Gods and Demi-gods to be used in the game. Maybe including chances of prayers/wishes being answered. Alternatively, angering a God.
