Some Kingmaker spoilers warning!

Okay, my players are going to clear Candlemere Tower of Will-o'-the-wisps.

Then they will have to clear it of the creepy feeling.

So I've decided they are going to fight the Grither(Don't say this out loud!!!).

I want it to attack there most northern town and have Santa Claus bring them there on his sleigh.

I need a monster around that will make a good Grither. They've just finished Varhold Vanishing so I'm thinking it should be around CR 12.

It has to have awesome reach and live in the cold.

I'd take a look at the Roper, reskinned slightly - its ability to disguise itself in stalactites would translate easily to the Grither's translucence, and the long arms sound a lot like tentacles. CR is about right, too... you might want to boost its speed a bit, but otherwise the stats should work Ok.
