Was thinking about ordering some of these as Christmas gifts, but the store's treating them like PDFs and not offering shipping options or charges for them.

Liberty's Edge

For me as soon as I go to check out is shows it as the "Slumbering TZAR" that I am trying to buy.

I was like ok they are charging $11.96 shipping but then giving back $10 for an order over $100....

It's my new invention. Get chocolate through the internet! Just touch the screen...

Hey! Don't go in there yourself! You'll shrink!

So, Cosmo has finally had his share? *grins*

If only this was offered in milk chocolate. Dark chocolate, yuck :-(

I bought a set for my partner for her birthday from Thinkgeek. They're delicious. :)

Might be related to a "melting" problem.

They're listed as unavailable now. Fess up, staff -- who got hungry?

Well, I ordered six sets and plan to give them out to the other players and GM (or players if I am the GM) the next time I play a Society game as Christmas presents.

Dark chocolate yuck? Forfend! My only wish is that they were higher than 60% cacoa! I usually buy bars north of 80% (80% cacoa with sea salt is my idea of a perfect candy bar).

The one upside to dark chocolate (and yes I prefer milk chocolate as well) is that it's safer for diabetics to eat. I am one, so it's nice to know that there's a delicious, geeky product out there that I can eat without going into immediate shock.

We're going to be ordering more, so I've put this on backorder.

Are you expecting pre-Christmas delivery?

Liberty's Edge

Yeah, wow! Out of stock already??? I'd also like to know if you think these will be back in stock in time for Christmas delivery.

Webstore Gninja Minion

I certainly hope so Marc! :D

I couldn't resist trying them when they came today. So fun! And delicious.

Now I only have five sets left, so I guess I'll have to buy a mini or something, or hope that we don't seat a full table at next Tuesday's PFS game!

Woo hoo! Got my e-mail notification today that my order is ready to ship :)

anyone know if they are any good?

Contributor

I ate a whole set this afternoon. They taste just like a Ghirardelli bar. Which is pretty good, if you ask me.

Any plans on selling the other "styles" they make, such as the milk, or white chocolate here on Paizo.com?

Contributor

By the way, I gave these out as Christmas presents, along with Pathfinder Miniatures booster packs, to the other five players and the GM at our Tuesday night Society game, and they went over gangbusters.

Well, actually, two randomly determined folks got two mini packs each instead of a mini pack and chocolate dice.

See, I ordered six sets, but only four made it to the FLGS.

'Cause I eated them.

This is the only product that the manufacturer is offering through the Hobby distribution channel so far. I may look into ordering direct from the manufacturer but since these are *perishable* I'm not sure how many SKUs I want to have on hand.

I ask, because I'd rather give Paizo my money than Amazon (which also offers these)...

But I understand the dilemma, thank you for the reply. :-)

So these look awesome, but it says they are packaged in gold foil cups? Does that mean that you can't actually roll them without opening them to be eaten by dice stealing cats?

Pathfinder Companion, Maps Subscriber; Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

Yes, they're unwrapped, just like in the picture, lined up in foil cups in a box with a clear plastic lid.

I'd rather have monster tokens than dice, so we get to eat our kills.

That sucks. My cat-dragon steals my dice ALL the time. She knows not to eat chocolate, but... she IS part cat. Telling a cat not to eat something that smells good is like telling a pyromaniac not to play with tindertwigs.

(In character joking aside, I really do have a cat, and she really does steal dice so these not being wrapped would make them purely a fun novelty as they couldn't actually be used as dice in my house haha)

Bwahahahaha! How will I use them as dice if I want to and can easily eat them?

Great idea, I'll get them some day.

Any idea when these might be back in stock? I have a few players who need Christmas gifts :D

We have stock, but we've turned off its availability so that it doesn't melt during shipping in the hotter summer months. They should be available again in October.

These are now available again and just in time for the holidays!
