Silver Crusade

Hi everyone!

I’m going to start working on my WYC schedule for next year. Who’s Yer Con will be March 15-17, 2013 at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center (same place as last year)in Indianapolis, IN. This is a free convention. We had a huge presence last year and plan to keep a similar schedule this coming year. I must also mention that Barfleet takes place on Saturday night, which is always a fun event after the special :)

I am looking for GMs who would like to volunteer to run. GM rewards will be based on how many slots you run. One stipulation will be that if you fail to show up for a slot and/or show up unprepared and do not run a slot you are scheduled for, then you will not be eligible for some GM rewards.

Slots are as follows:

March 15
12pm-5pm
6pm-11pm

March 16
8am-12pm
1pm-6pm
7pm-midnight (this will be the slot when we run Race for the Runecarved key…make sure that you feel comfortable running the special if you volunteer for this slot).

March 17
9am-2pm

Please let me know if you are interested in helping out! When you respond, be sure to mention what slots you are interested in running. You can reply to me at TracyPFSIndy at a gmail dot com email address.

As much as I'd like to go. With Gamicon already on my schedule a couple weeks before. I won't be able to return the favor of your visit this time...at least without a stab wound.

Scarab Sages

Just make your SO your VL! Plus barfleet.

Hmm....

Silver Crusade

I'd actually really like to go to Gamicon this year, and I'm disappointed that the two are so close together. No worries! We will catch you next time.

Yes, Greg being a VL is how I get his buy-in for gaming </sarcasm>.

Sovereign Court 4/5

Count me in for Saturday and Sunday boss. Don't know about Friday yet.

I ran rune carved key at gencon I can handle running it again

Dang, Indiana seems to be thriving.

Winter Fantasy, Common Con Jan.
Artic Con, Feb.
March WYC, March.

WYC is a blast, plus it is free to play and stuff.

If I end being able to make it, I supposed I could run Race for the Runecarved Key. I'm vaguely familiar with it.

We also have this little con called Gencon...:)

I'd like to volunteer for two or three slots. Have to wait to see which ones i can run though. My son's birrthday is that weekend!!!

Bloomington is on-board and we'll be coming in force to play (and a few of us to GM too)!

Looking more and more likely that I can attend this year. Looking for someone to room with and split the hotel room. Any takers?

NOTE: Non-smoker, showers daily, snores

Chris does indeed provide excellent cover. However, his death stick habit may have reduced his con score a tad... :P

Nothing but love for ya, Chris.

Look forward to hanging out with you at WYC, by the way Mike in July I will be trying to get you to GM at INCON, as well was some of your local GM's.

Warhorn registration is looking great. Eyes of the Ten looks good with 4 players.

Scarab Sages

Hopefully we can disseminate out to people that you can only play Eyes at level 12 and that you need to play all the parts in order. I've had to remove one sign-up already.

I'm pretty excited about Incon too, just need to get through WYC first though. :)

Last year I was able to check in about 10:30, so as long as they have the rooms clean, it shouldn't be an issue to get in before the first slot. Of course, I'm sure they're not going to be able to get everyone in that early unfortunately.

See you there!

There's always the midnight madness slot. Sleep when you're dead!

...midnight madness? Dare I ask?

Scarab Sages

It's our super-secret midnight-4am slot. Bob ran Cyphermage in it last year. The Barfleet party will be in full swing so it may involve some alcohol.

Also, we're up to 100 PFS registrations and we're still a month away. This is shaping up to be a pretty good turnout!

Grand Lodge 5/5 Regional Venture-Coordinator, Great Lakes aka TwilightKnight

Is there a plan for a midnight-madness event again? I might prefer to be a player this time and harass whomever is foolish, er um, lucky enough to be the GM this time around. :-D

Depending on the selection, it might be possible to entice me to run again. Of course, I would prefer to have a bit more prep time that 24 hours this time. Just sayin'

Scarab Sages

I don't know why we wouldn't, it's sort of a tradition at Indy cons. Tracy ran God's Market Gamble back in July at InCon. Either she or I can run Bonekeep or Day of the Demon. I'm the more killy GM so we might just play it by ear.

Silver Crusade

I am not staying awake for this.

Scarab Sages

If I run the midnight madness slot I'll hit my 4th star. Surely you want to hang out!

Nope.

Greg Hurst wrote:

I would play your fourth star game. Gratz BTW.

Madness, you have to run it blind and high tier.

I suppose if it was your 4th star game, I'd make a late night appearance too...

Dark Archive 5/5 ⦵⦵ Venture-Captain, Indiana—Lafayette aka Cactus-Jack

last year's WYC midnight madness was cool, although it felt like we had a table of 10. (we didn't for those who nit pick)

last years incon midnight madness was a blurrrr too much barfleet for me. I remember the final boss fight being very frustrating for my halfling barbarian. ..

See ya all is a couple weeks!!

*sigh* perhaps next year I can make it back out there .... it's a blast of a con lol

Greg Hurst wrote:

I will absolutely join that game! What better way to earn your 4th star than to deal with half-drunk, overly-tired, mostly GM's, that waver between falling asleep at the table and whining about not knowing what is going on because they failed to pay attention. There will be plenty of time to sleep when we're dead :-)

I'm so excited to announce that Amanda Hamon, author of Fortress of the Nail, will be a special guest GM on Saturday in our 1:30pm-6:30pm slot!

Ugh! You're killing me smalz.
runs off to see how to adjust my schedule so I can play at that table

But...but...you were gonna be playing at my table...

sits in a corner and weeps

Grand Lodge 5/5 Regional Venture-Coordinator, Great Lakes aka TwilightKnight

Less than a week til we get our 'Hoosier' on!!!

Scarab Sages

Over 150 registrations for over 80 tables. We're sitting at like 95% capacity..surely we won't have any walk-ins right? I think I'm just resolved it'll be crazy and try to keep HQ stocked with copies of First Steps.

Sovereign Court 4/5

If we get lots of walk-ins hopefully some of our players will step up and GM for us too.

I imagine Bonekeep could be run 3 times in 5 hours.

I am looking forward to this WYC. Just finished some maps. Trying some different things this year.

So they keep telling me.

Alas, I committed elsewhere this weekend. I suspect I'll have fun yet still regret not venturing down to Indy so that Mike might have a PC or three die at my table.

Er, um, I mean, play. Yes. Play.
