had a question about the following statment

If you play a non-1st-level pregenerated character, you can apply the credit to your character as soon as she reaches the level of the pregenerated character played

fair enough ... I play a 4th lvl Pregen playing in a 6-7 subtier as far as I can tell there is nothing wrong with doing that but how does the GM whos examining my chronicles know ... especially if there is a date discrepancy (played 2 months before the chronicle before it)... is the GM of the scenario supposed to make Note on the sheet ? (e.g. lvl 4 Kyra was played) or is this an "honor system" type thing ....

I recently played a lvl 4 kyra in a 6-7 Devil May know Pt. 2 and this just struck me

I always write "pregen credit, hold for level <X>" on top. If the GM didn't make any notes, you probably should. But yeah, it's honor system. Most of PFS is, when you get right down to it.

When I GM for a player with a pre-gen, I'll mark the "Scenario Chronicle #" as either "1" or "10" (for level 4) or "19" for level 7.

and what if you end up having more than 1 that you used a lvl 4 in ?

Im playing in an online game this week and likely will be on a pregen

Yeah, that doesn't always work. If someone plays two scenarios with a L4 pregen and applies them to the same character, they'd be 10 and 11. But if the GM fills in SC# for you, you can always make a note correcting it. It's a big box.

And yeah, that's a good point. In the future, I'll ask. (So far, though, everybody's been on their first pre-gen.)

There are also boons, holiday Chronicles, Tales Chronicles, and probably other ways of messing up the Chronicle number / XP relationship. Best bet would be for the GM to put a note on it saying "apply at level x."

Sanctioned modules!

In our group it seems to be a rarity for XP to be the same as no. of chronicles for any given PC.

You shouldn't be playing a level 4 pregen in a subtier 6-7 anyway. That's what the level 7 pregens are for.

But besides that, I'd make a note for the benefit of the player's memory, but you probably don't need anything "official." Character records are completely on the honor system (I've never audited a character, or had one of mine audited; even if I did, I wouldn't be trying to look up the online records to make sure they matched).

I wish there were level 5 pregens for Tier 5-6 scenarios. Who wants to be outclassed by a pregen?
