VTT and Skype Question

Technology

I play my games over D20Pro and Skype and have a question about getting the mood music to play over Skype. I've been having issues getting my music to stream through Skype and was wondering if anyone could tell me how to get the music to play. At this point I'm thinking of ditch Skype and going with Vent just to get the music to play. Any help will be appreciate it.

Check out Midnight Syndicate.

This might be better positioned on the "Technology" board...

I had a similar problem with my setup for my "Rise of the Runelords" campaign. I have one or two remote players who connect with MapTool and Skype,, and three or four in-person around my dining room table. I actually couldn't get the music thing to work. The microphone on the laptop on the table would pick up the music playing in the room, and eat up bandwidth, making it very hard for the remote players to hear.

I ended up ditching the whole music idea, unfortunately, but would love to hear someone else's solution.

If you're not married to d20pro, Roll20 has a built-in "Jukebox" feature in its video-audio chat that allows for background music and sound effects.

Well, I'm $60 into D20Pro, so I'd rather not ditch it at this point.
