That is a bit of a troll Dingo. You should know what the responses will be after all your time here on the boards.
I listened to a very interesting podcast that said that if it wasn't for the British armies high command in the colonies (during the early stages) being sympathisers and the French tying up the Royal Navy funding the rebels supplying training, experienced officers and men, the rebels would have lost.

I live in hope that the children have evolved to discuss this in a sensible manor...

I would say that is a quite truthful statement, the British had more manpower and wealth, and the lands were better developed as well, if not for foreign interventions and troubles the UK would have won.

You can tell that they will when they recognize that you're talking a story about nonsense. You're trying to import 21st century scenarios to an 18th century conflict.

What it pretty much comes down to is that it wasn't George Washington that won us independence, but Ben Franklin.

A Wheelchair bound George Washington decides to strap some gunpowder to a child and send him over to some British soldiers to explode...
So, basically the French Revolution, then?
"As the Revolution grew nearer, Couthon was quickly becoming a cripple, with both legs rapidly becoming completely paralyzed. While doctors would diagnose Couthon with meningitis in 1792, Couthon blamed his paralysis on the frequent sexual experiences of his youth; although he would begin treating his condition with mineral baths, he would grow so weak by 1793 that he would be confined to a wheelchair."
Bolded part is so typically French.

I, for one, want to know if the British would retaliate using unmanned drones.

You also have to consider the times and mindset of the period. When the various militia men started using hit and run tactics, ambushes, and killing officers it was considered cowardly, rude, scandalous, and downright ungentlemanly. So I doubt that kind of tactic would have been employed let alone thought of as conduct of a gentleman during war.
