Chronicles returns with Episode 018 and a double-shot of Kingmaker with a side of gaming goodness. We intro the podcast with our regular chit-chat and goings on and then move on to our interview with Pathfinder Lead Designer, Jason Bulmahn. Gary Ray returns to give us some insight into game retailing in another segment of Diamond in the Rough. Matt Morton of Mindgene LLC comes on the cast to explain the new features of the latest release of the Virtual Table Top d20Pro and their new marketplace. Colen McAlister of Lone Wolf Development provides us with another update on Herolab. We move on to the meat of the show first with a Player friendly discussion of Kingmaker Vol.4, Blood for Blood with guest Neil Spicer followed up with our interview with Jason Nelson, author of War of the River Kings. After the warning, Neil Spicer joins us again for a spoilerific discussion of Blood for Blood. Our Staff Review of Kingmaker, Vols 4 and 5 covers the bases and looks back all the way to Vol 1 with pointers on how to foreshadow and adjust your campaign. We close it off with a timely (finally!) discussion of our Classic Modules Conversion Project, new CCW Producer auditions and more. All-in, Episode 018 weighs in at over 5 and a half hours. Hey, Paizo person who moved this post: If we are going to put a RIDICULOUS amount of work into making a 6 hour podcast which is all about covering your game and company, publishing partners and interviewing your employees and freelancers -- would you kindly NOT move my post advising customers of its existence?

This is NOT Gamer Talk. I posted it to the subject area where each announcement has been posted for the past 26 months.

It's a judgment call since we don't really have a podcast-specific forum. It's tougher when a podcast covers as widely varying range of topics as yours does, so sometimes we'll get it wrong. Typically we put podcast threads into the forum where they match the content. If the podcast is focused on a 3pp, we put them in that forum. If they're about a specific one of our products, then the appropriate subforum, and if they're generally about Pathfinder RPG, then into the general discussion forum. This episode sounds like it hits every single one of those bases, so Gamer Talk seemed like the appropriate place. (Or, to put it another way, the least inappropriate place.)

I suppose in a future rewrite of the messageboards we could have threads that are simultaneously in multiple forums but then people might get annoyed at seeing the same thread everywhere just because it deals with a lot of topics.

Since you put "Kingmaker" in the title of the thread, I'm going to assume that's what you intend the focus of the discussion to be, so I've moved the thread there.

The podcast is about the APs and the Golarion Game world, principally, and it's a podcast with a more GM focus than a player one. That's where it seemed to fit. It also has less traffic, so the General Campaign Setting remains on the main message board list page longer than if it were posted in Paizo general.

When it is in Gamer Talk Gary --- it might as well not be anywhere. This is an exceptionally low traffic area and simply put, people will not see it if if is here.

Seeing as the previous 21 posts have lived in the Campaign setting section without a problem, it feels more than a little like we've been banished to a place to quickly be ignored and just go away.

I'm listening to it right now. I'm enjoying it :-)

Listened to the first 30-40minutes last night and it was good.

I beg to differ Gary, we have ONE TOPIC and that's Paizo. We make listeners aware of your products.

It's never been a judgement call for the past two years, and 20-odd postings. Why has it become one now?
Our format has never changed.
The location of our Episode announcements have never changed.
(until interns started moving them)
This mistake has occurred is the past. Once made aware of the fact, the post has been returned with kind apologies. I find your explanation to be a little disheartening. Is this an official position?

If there are extra rules concerning podcast posts that need to be followed, then please make them available to us.
I'm looking for a little consistency here...

I'm preparing to run the Kingmaker AP. I have downloaded the review eposides, but there does not appear to be a book 6 or final review. Will there be one?

Grand Lodge

You can count on a final review episode for KM 06.

We have recently completed our campaign and it is the next episode slated for production (Episode 20) following Skull & Shackles book 1 in Episode 019.

Thanks, that is great news. I'm scheduled to start my game in about three or four weeks as soon as the current game ends. Over the past couple of weeks I've been listened to the Kingmaker associated episodes and I am reading my way through the KM books or atleast the plot related sections. I am bit thick headed and a very slow reader with limited free time, so listening to your podcast has been a very valueable tool.

In Eposide 18 you gave some hints about tying the story together and foreshadowing. I'm really interested in hearing your final take on that subject.
